Incomplete. Missing Julia and Sexcrime/1984. Sexcrime isn't a revolutionary single, but its dark and fun pop, and Julia is sublime - easily the most beautiful ballad Eurythmics ever created. Their absence from this collection is likely due to the Sony not owning the rights (not sure) but its a shame that neither the full soundtrack, nor the two singles to promote it, are available anywhere today, with no word on if they will ever be released.
Perfect!. Eurythmics wrote and produced a solid body of work during their years together. There is no filler to be found; each song sounds like it belongs on its respective album. "Touch" is my favorite - it was a perfectly amalgamation of songwriting, synths and Annie Lennox's gorgeous, soulful vocals. That unique combination helped Eurythmics to shine in the 80s music scene, and these albums still sound fresh today.
Jennifer Cooper. Love this, of course. I’m still waiting to see when 1984 will pop up on iTunes. That album was just as important to my love of Eurythmics as the others. I had it on cassette. I wish Somebody Told Me was on here. I feel like that’s a really underrated song. Now we need an Annie Lennox box set! I know we have The Annie Lennox Collection but we need more. You can never have too much Annie 💝
