Meh.... This album really isn't bad. Infact, only the Women's Aid Society song is regrettable. Well... Here's the deal: like the last effort, this is a solo record of all 3 monkees, on one album. Unlinke the last album, this one isn't covered in Hollywood dreck, and Mike Nesmith is doing fine. Here's how the Monkees do individually: Davy Jones: 2/5 Boring. Purely boring. The one Davy song that they brought back from older sessions is ok though. Micky Dolenz: 2.5/5 Nothing to cry over, but nothing to get excited about. Pretty average stuff. Micky shares the filler with Davy. He has some ok songs. Mike Nesmith: 4/5 No bad songs! Of course, he does have a bit of a ranch sound, but it's ok. "Listen To The Band" is the best song on the album. Mike pretty much single handedly gives this album all of it's purpose. Get it if you love the Monkees. If not, get Headquarters.

great album. I like this album, there are some good tunes on here and some mildly good ones....all in all a great album to give a listen too. If you are a monkees fan definately buy the whole album, if you are not so much the best tracks on here are: 1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 16....just one note, the track 16 version of mommy and daddy is far superior and should have been released on the original album.

Good Clean Fun. A pretty good album overall, but isn't as great as the last album Instant Replay. I really thought Good Clean Fun was a great track and even like it better than Listen To The Band. Michael Nesmith did the best work on the album and Davy Jones was pretty bad compared to Instant Replay and albums before. The best songs are Good Clean Fun 5/5, Listen to The Band 5/5, Mommy and Daddy4.5/5, Oklahoma Backroom Dancer 4.5/5, Pillow Time 4/5, and Looking for the Good Times 3.5/5.

Better than the TV Show Tie-Ins!. Those of you remebering the pre-fab four from TV might only remember "Listen to the Band", but the rest of this album rivals Headquarters for content and creativity. Though Peter Tork is missing from the line-up, each one of these original songs (plus the Bonus Tracks) are shockingly well produced even by Monkee standards. None of the albums released during the original run of the TV show can touch this beauty! Released shortly after the TV series was cancelled, this rare album is a keeper, especially if you have an original Colgems 1969 pressing.
