Lindemann and the Staff Band Shine. Here, ladies and gentlemen, is a trumpeter to watch closely. Jens Lindemann, a rising star in the trumpet world, displays here why all my trumpeter friends have been talking about him lately: extremely prodigious technique, great chops, cross style mastery...the Canadian Staff band does an excellent job as they all rise to the challege and produce a great disc.
Another Excellent. This album is as good as the Flying Solo. This guy can really make the Trumpet sing, he has great chops. He is great in person too. He played with the Shenandoah Jazz Ensemble (April 17, 2009), after playing all day at the conservatory, he sounded great. He has great stamina.
