"The Remaster" is code for "Censored after Lawsuit". Ready to Die is a fantastic iconic hip-hop album, and what you see here is not that album. Because Bad Boy Records and P. Diddy didn't seek permission from the artists they sampled back in 1994 they were sued in 2006 and ordered to remove certain samples from the record. Thus giving us this "remaster". So if you're wanting to hear the original mix of the album that made it so legendary, look for a CD copy manufactured before the 2006 lawsuit.

Cheap Bad Boy. Apparently Bad Boy didn’t care about the fans or the legacy of this fantastic album. They could have paid the royalties but instead they offer this neutered version with missing samples. I’m glad I still have my original CD and the CD remaster that was released in 2004 with the samples intact.
