In a nutshell.... Cross J Dilla and Madlib and you give birth to this CD. One of the better albums out there for sure, solid all the way through. If you are looking for some good new music, then this is it. Dig on it.
Good Vibe!. It's not often you can find a full cd that you can listen to the whole thing and just vibe!
Yessssir!!!. This is one of those cds you just put in when you have some fine tenderonie over and yall sippin on a glass of that good yak... yeah buddy!! A++
j rawls. Simple clean beats that fill the heart with joy and smooth sounds. This cd is good any time. I play it with friends and they always want to know who this jam is.. try a couple of songs and u will see.. nice jams....
This album is everything!. I have my own 5 star rating...one star meaning the album does absolutely nothing for me, and 5 stars meaning the album either is now, has periodically been, or will be an integral part of my daily life. What J. Rawls has done here is brilliant. But here's the thing about J...he ALWAYS does brilliant. He is so consistent that it is fairly easy to mix up reviews about him. If there is one track that is in daily rotation "literally since release of this amazing album", it is definitely SIMPLE GAME PLAN. Talk about getting you amped for any situation. I can study to that track, I can groove to it, I can cruise the blvd to it, I can write to it, I can game to it, I can spit game to it...there ain't about a dang thing that I can't do to it. Now, keep in mind, I believe music is integral to the world.. And without it, the world would literally stop. This is one of those albums that keep the world spinning. I give this album a 5 star rating.
