A Comedic European Romance. I just saw this film and i was quite impressed on the story. Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp, and Judi Dench all star in this comedic romantic flick about a single mother who moves to a resolute town in France and opens up a chocolate shop. At first, the villagers cross their fingers in disgust, but once the time passes and the wind blows, the villagers adapt to the shop's presence and become curious about its purpose. After having a decadent hot chocolate (which is actually REAL chocolate that is hot and I am not speaking of the Nestle hot chocolate packets at all!) or a dainty truffle, let us just say that the owner (Juliette Binoche) would see the same people the next day. And, based on Depp's previous films such as his three-part series of films, known as The Pirates of the Caribbean, you can't deny this film. He played an excellent role, as well as Judi Dench, Juliette Binoche, and the young daughter, played by Victoire Thivisol.

"my favorite". this soundtrack mirrors the movie exactly. it has a beautifully clever feel to the entire score. portman blended each character into the score and the end result is fantastic.

Great, but disappointing at the same time.. This is a fantastic movie with a few fun songs ala Django. Unfortunately, the song that Johnny Depp plays has not been included in this album and it is the one I most wanted. Too bad. I'll just have to watch the movie again.
