future of pop. reading some of these reviews below i wonder if people have ever heard anything outside of top 40 or alt rock from the 00’s...delusional, every single one of them. this album is full of beautifully crafted, futuristic and left-field pieces that truly sound like nothing out there right now. no pop star is at the charli’s level.

The people saying this album sounds generic. Most likely didn’t even listen to the whole album. Charli xcx is one of the most experimental and emotional pop artists out there. She continues to push the P.C. Music sound into the mainstream as she blends the two as if they were always the same. You can see this as a pop album, you can see it as an experimental A.G. Cook one, but either way, charli is the most impressive thing happening in mainstream music right now. Favorites: Next level charli, gone, cross you out, thoughts, blame it on your love, white Mercedes, silver cross, I don’t wanna know, official, February 2017, 2099 (The others are great too)

HAIM”), “Charli” is an exciting thriller full of sharp plot twists and turns. Truly a masterpiece, her fifth studio album comes in many forms; the slow R&B “I Don’t Wanna Know”, the over-the-top computerized spectacles “Click feat. Kim Petras & Tommy Cash” and “Shake It feat. Big Freedia, CupcakKe, Brooke Candy and Pablo Vittar”, the ballad-driven “White Mercedes” and “Official”, to the voltaic bops of the summer “Gone feat. Christine and The Queens” and “Blame It On Your Love feat. Lizzo”. Charli XCX is here to challenge the stigma of pop; to make each of us question everything. She truly is an artist of her generation.

Loved it, except for Click!. I like almost every song on this album. The only thing that puts me off is the last few seconds of “Click”. It sounds absolutely awful and hurts your ears on an amplified system. I was a little worried the audio would cause speaker damage also. Would have given it five stars otherwise.

Charli xcx colabertaes with musics most innovative producers & artists. with soaring synth anthems like '1999' to contemporary artpop 'febuary 2017' the versatality and creative momentem of charli xcx is at full force with this album. Nexxt Level Charli is blissfully sugary sweet yet cold & hard hitting. And for pop music the lyrics are far from vapid & empty tracks like Gone are evidence of this. Shake it & Click have such a cold hard aesthetic to them that other pop stars desperately would envy having pounding in a night club. Overall this album is worth every penny, every second & every beat.
