This has impeccable timing!. I was introduced to Marc Shaiman’s style of compositions from “Down With Love.” I was addicted. He did an amazing job with this. Although the lyrics are a little more complex than the original film, which I think shouldn’t be compared, I honesty cried by the time I heard “Nowhere To Go But Up.” Gave me a quick reminder of how things might change as we get older and forget why we’re doing what we are in the first place and to look back at the good that can always come around again for a second time. I really needed this character to come back into my life even with its new film/songs/lyrics/characters. Mary Poppins is what got me into art as a child and sparked my imagination. As I’ve been taking risks to follow the career path of an artist and fashion designer, this couldn’t have come at a better time to keep me on my toes and looking up. Thank you for making this film, despite what other naysayers might say. Sometimes we all need to just get over ourselves and just enjoy things for what they are and not what they could be. Otherwise you’d waist your life contemplating every single thing.

Ugh! These songs are AWFUL!. I honestly don't understand why this soundtrack is (supposedly) getting all these high ratings. While the movie itself wasn't an absolute disaster - it's pretty much a cautious retread - what flaws it had could have easily been redeemed had it had had a batch of terrific songs. Shockingly, the songs composed here are simply awful. There's not a single memorable, enjoyable melody here, and they're so horrendous that they singlehandedly destroyed what charm the movie could have had. This is absolutely inexcusable; this is a DISNEY musical, and Disney musicals are renowned the world over for their (usually) excellent songs! Even stranger, the composers were the same ones who wrote the songs for the wonderful "Hairspray"! The whole thing reminds me of the reaction the public had to Daft Punk's highly anticipated "Tron Legacy" soundtrack, which gave the impression that they were being glared at over their shoulders by someone who wouldn't let them cut loose. I get the impression that that's what may have happened here. The songwriters are trying very, very, desperately hard - so hard that that they couldn't relax and let the inspiration come naturally. They should have gotten Robert Sherman to write material - and if he wasn't available, I say get Paul McCartney! He can easily write terrific ditties to material like this in his SLEEP! A terrible disappointment. We can only hope that Disney may someday decide to rescue this movie by editing whole new songs into it...

Not like the original which is my favourite version. None of the songs are from the original so I am already not looking forward to seeing it

Awesome movie and soundtrack. I absolutely loved the movie. They put so much effort in and I think they definitely deserve a five star rating. Same as the soundtrack. My mum and dad went to see Hamilton in America and they ADORED how Lin-Manuel Miranda acted everything out. He is the exactly the same in Mary Poppins Returns. AMAZING. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
