Great Variety, Renditions & Price. I have had my own "Quiet Classical" list for years but there were MANY in this album I didn't have, some I hadn't heard. And even those I had - I have virtually every version of Holst's Planets, e.g. - the choices of recordings they include are top-notch! (That's what makes "Twilight of the Gods: The Essential Wagner Collection" so good). While a few pieces I could do without, (never been a fan of Puccini's Humming Chorus), though the arias are lovely (e.g., Messiah: Comfort Ye, My People); hearing Cecilia Bartoli or Dame Sutherland singing Handel is still great! $11.99 for 111 excellent versions of new and old classics! This is a no-brainer purchase. Even my Classical Music tyro wife loves this collection.
Beautiful, peaceful, and long. It's true that a few pieces in this collection are robust rather than peaceful, but only a few. Most are beautiful and langorous, perfect for falling asleep. I play this while I'm working because I can't listen to lyrics while I'm at work (I'm an editor). The music is lovely. And while low price isn't exactly a sensible way to choose your music, I do enjoy getting 19 hours of music for the price of one album. I can listen all day (two or three days!) and not hear the same composition twice. I recommend this album for anyone who wants beautiful, peaceful music, and lots of it.
So many to delete. This was promising. There were over 30 songs that I had to delete because a grand crescendo or several always woke me up. Not good and not worth it
