Popa Chubby never fails to keep me interested!. I finally picked up this album after catching Popa live this year. After hearing his blazing Buffalo Chips and rocking Long Deep Hard and Wide , I was sold. Having been with Popa from the beginning I did not know what to expect but upon listening to his latest effort I am impressed. The album kicks off with a great slide tune right into a hip hop number. Then comes a poppy song "back in my baby's arms" which we can all relate too. The best part is that this album never lets up and there are no "B" sides. There is a strong taste of country, funk, hip-hop, blues, and rock and roll. Enough to keep anyone happy. The songs are laid out as stories that real people can relate too. When he aint sining on his instrumental his guitar tells the story and that chubby man can play!

The album artwork trumps it all. The only great thing about this album is the artwork. Look at it. I'd tattoo that on my mother's behind myself if I could. But this album lacks insperation. This album is skilled enough to make a nice complicated harmony to a lame chorus. Ride on and find something more interesting.
