Mucho Mas Spiel from Boon & Watt. It's been 20 years since Boon left us and this album is still the pinnacle. I love this album. The Minutemen never compromised, never sold out, never went mersh. This should be handed out to every person that wants to start a band and then told "this is the way of the truth".

Double Nickels on the Dime. Jeez, where do you start with this LP. It is the quinsessential album in my library, and I believe it to be the best record of the past 25 years. It has massive integrity, musicianship, thoughtfullness and lyrical quality. I enjoy the fact that you can listen to each instrument separately in each song and yet the cohesiveness is wonderful. I've given copies of D5 to hippies, death-metal fans, old folks and youngsters, and universally they find something to appreciate about it. Take 5, D; you did your job here well.

The meaning of the album title. I got this when it first came out on vinyl. At the time the speed limit was fifty-five and the main freeway through downtown LA is the ten, so I always thought the title meant going fifty five mph on the 10 freeway --- double nickels on the dime.
