More pop than evil. I'm wondering if they decided a guitar isn't needed anymore. No riffs. Cheesy drum sound. They should just change they're name to pop.

So Underrated. It makes me sick when people say they've never heard of these guys. One of the greatest bands around. This new album is gonna be great. And there isn't any better group of guys that deserve it more...

Disrespectfull to rock.... This is NOT good. I was really looking forward to this album because I loved the Onyx album. There isn't one song that I like. The lyrics seem choppy and unrythmical, while the band seems out of sync. Extreamly disappointed.

I can't think of a Title. I'm not even able to write a review to describe how bad these are. It's not even the "omg, this song is awesome but they've changed so I have to hate the song" type of thing, it's just terrible in general. What happened to the catchy riffs and chorus? These songs have no energy (other then the heat from the computer generating techno crap they're using) and really just bland all together. It's not a "go back to your roots" but more of a "measure twice;cut once" because you guys need to go back and listen to this again. Terrible

Above and beyond the rest. I've been an Evil since Lipstick on the Mirror and I feel like, just with the pre released songs, this is their best album yet. Ghost of Muskegon is my favorite. Vendetta hits really hard, dead in the water has a great rhythm, and Footsteps is already a global hit!

LOVE!. I love this new album! A little slower paced which shows their diversity and that they are not just a one trick pony. :)

Pop Evil the game!. Of all the Pop Evil songs I have, UP is probably my favorite collection to date. This band has grown so much creatively and have honed their sound to perfection. They definitely Upped the game on this record. A MUST for any true rock fan! Killer record!

Just settle down now. Real good. Solid music from a solid band that we all know. Listen to the album as a whole and you'll find the band that you've seen before, and with more diversity

Album Overview. UP Overview Footsteps: 4.5/5 An extremely catchy lighter song that deserves its position as lead single. Core: 4.5/5 Beginning reminds me of Breaking Benjamin's "Break My Fall." Has a nice heavy alternative sound. In Disarray: 5/5 A fast paced, almost alternative sounding song with a messy but good chorus with good riffs and catchy verses. A new sound for them. Take it All: 4/5 An aggressive light alternative rock song with a fast rap-rock-like sound. Ghost of Muskegon: 5/5 One of my favorites off the album. Love the catchy light intro and cool easy flowing chorus. Awesome. If Only For Now: 3.5/5 A light and beautiful sounding song with a slower tempo similar to Purple. ...(Instrumental): NA You may recognize it from "The Making of UP" YouTube videos. Basically just an instrumental that sets the mood for the album. Ways to Get High: 5/5 The best non-pre-release in my opinion. Has a laid back but heavy sound to it. Lux: 4.5/5 Another fast paced alternative sounding song with lyrical traces of songs like Boss's Daughter. Vendetta: 5/5 A song that starts off really heavy and has some great verses. Sort of like a combination of Deal With The Devil and Trenches. Tempo slows down for the chorus, but returns to the fast pace for the rest of the song. Dead in the Water: 3/5 A song with some nice heavy good riff-filled verses, but with a slow mainstream chorus. Seattle Rain: 4.5/5 Another slow, but beautiful sounding song like If Only For Now. Is slower but still a great song in my opinion. Til Kingdom Come: 3.5/5 A relaxed slow tempo-song and a beautiful sound. 1- Ghost of Muskegon 2- Vendetta 3- Ways To Get High 4- In Disarray 5- Seattle Rain

Pop evil. I honestly love these guys, seen them twice and gonna see them again in two weeks. But this song isn't the pop evil I love listening too.. Hope rest of album will exceed my expectations

Unexpected, But Amazing. At first listen, "Footsteps" is a far cry of the harder releases from Onyx. However, as someone who appreciates all genres of music and this incredible group of Guys, I'm nothing short of absolutely impressed and left once again yearning for more. This is going to be a other record that changes the face of rock. Pop Evil never fails to disappoint! 🎼❤️👣🎶

Huh?. Funny how people say its not quite.... and then give it 5 stars. Pop Evil could be great but they need to find their identity. They are all over the place with their music and this album looks to be no different. They need to define their sound and do that well before they expand in other areas.

Just can't get in to them anymore.. I've always been a fan of these guys and I've met them on three different occasions. These guys are probably the coolest band I've met and I've met my share. I met them on 2011 before war of angels came out. The day after I met them I went to best buy to buy lipstick on the mirror. I recommend to my friends and friends on social media. War of angels came out I loved it. These guys were doing well and I kept supporting them by buying their albums and even getting shirts. I still have a drumstick and snare head that Chachi signed for me. Onyx became their most successful album but for me it was my least favorite. They didn't remind me of the pop evil I enjoyed from back then. However, I pre ordered the album and still supported them because I know these guys are amazing. I was excited for this album but they key was word is was. After listening to their album through...I just can't get into them anymore. I only enjoy Seattle Rain. That's one song of fifteen. Pop Evil, I'll support you guys because you've always been such a pleasure when I met you those three times. That's how much you guys mean to me. I wish you guys the best even though I'm not a fan of this album.

Not very satisfied.... I purchased this album, thinking that their style was the same. Unfortunately, this album seems more like soft rock than anything. I regretted this purchase. It's not my thing, but i'm sure others will enjoy it.

Great group. From watching these guys in a small club in Beaumont Texas to watching them go big I enjoy every moment.

Best Album by Current Artist. I really enjoyed this album and to me its one of the best albums released so far this year. This album has excellent production and you can tell the band has been tgether for a long time as this is their 5th release. I've been a fan of Footsteps ever since I heard it a few months back and would have to say some other stand out tracks for me are Seattle Rain, Til Kigdom Come and Dead In the Water.

Love it!. Me and my Husband have been following Pop Evil Since the beginning. They keep evolving into something bigger and better every album.They put so much hard work into their music. You can tell they have so much love for what they do. From live performances to each album they make. This album was a huge step for these guys they slightly went a different direction but it really has grown on me. Watching these songs live performed really makes you appreciate the music even more.I highly recommend it for the true Pop Evil fans you will appreciate this album.

In Disarray...Queens of the Stone Age ripoff!. The first single was pretty mainstream/radio friendly rock, as is most of Pop Evil. In Disarray is a straight rip off of Queens of the Stone Age's song "Feel Good Hit of the Summer," which is a much better song than this. Pop Evil is to me that average rock radio sounding music, and nothing more.

Not a fan of UP. Onyx was far and away better album. Honestly don't waste your money on anything but Footsteps, the rest is subpar.

Pop Evil Goes UP!!!. Pop Evil "UP" Is Gonna Be There Best No Doubt About It, I Thought "Onyx" Was Amazing, With "Torn To Pieces", "Trenches" & "Deal With the Devil" & Many Other Hits, But This Record May Just Make Onyx My Second Favorite From These Guys, Can't Wait Till August!!

Pop Sellout. Sounds just like those other songs you hear all the freaking time on CHR/Top 40 radio. So if they're going for a pop sound, cut it, want new rock music, buy Asking Alexandria's new single, this new "Pop Evil" song sounds like "Centuries", seriously.

Different. Footsteps is far from a bad song, but I'm hoping there are plenty of Pop Evil's guitar-riff-driven songs still to come. Anxious to hear the rest.

This is a must buy!. The band delivers another stellar album of a wide range of songs! The lyrics are ones that make you stop and think about things in life. And if you get a chance to see them perform these songs live you will not be disappointed!

New and fresh for an awesome band. Pop evil is easily one of my favorite bands. They are very versatile and can successfully execute numerous different sounds, from metal to punk. This new single is no exception as pop evil takes on a completely new sound.

Love This Band!. I just finished my first listen of Up, and it does not disappoint. Crunchy instrumentals, clean vocals, biting lyrics and melodic lines make this a solid follow-up to Onyx, and cement Pop Evil's place as one of the superior alt metal bands working today. If you like hard rock with a hook, give this a spin.

ut oh. the fact this is the opening song (usually first songs rock to get the vibe going) tells me this is gonna be one of those ballad, experimental albums. I hope I am wrong!

Purely Great. I only knew their music from a few singles then I got Onyx. If you like the pure Pop Evil sound this album is excellent in ways I can't express.

They've become their name.. Pop watered down rock is what they've become. Sad considering they were killing it there for a while. Not one song I can workout to on here. All seem to lack inspiration and passion. Seems rushed.

I was scared at first.... When I first heard Foosteps, I was a little nervous about what to expect on this album. Although not every song is a favorite of mine, it reminds me why I enjoy them so much! Every song is a little different than the other, but not to extremes. There's a song for every mood, just like all of their other albums. Can't wait to go see them again!
