77's. the only reason the 77's are not well known is because, in the 80's, they decided to go underground, and play christian rock. music rejected by both the church and the secular music establishment, including radio. mike roe is an amazing guitarist with a vioce to match. the band is very tight and versatile. they started out as a punk/alternative band but evolved into an alternative/blues/r&b/rock band. add to that, good song writing with a christian perspective (not religious) about life and society. one of the best overlooked bands to ever make a living from the underground. good album.

I love it. Not sure how they do it, but The 77's just made another fantastic album. The production is terrific and the retro old-school sound is amazing. This is a must for all old-school Christian rock fans !!

77’s. I agree with St. Charles! I am 56 years old, grew up in LA in the heyday of the Jesus movement, followed all the greats Larry Norman, Randy Stonewall, 77’s Daniel Amos—even all the incarnations LOL. Early Amy Grant, Rex band and ton one has ever heard of. How I long for that today. Once Christian Music was sold to the record companies, that was the end of it all. I am once again scouring iTunes, the internet looking for bands like the bands that built Christian music, with satire, wit, and bite, now all I find is bland, milk toast and they all sound the same.

Putting the Led and blues back in Zeppelin. One of the things I have respected about Mike Roe since the Exit days ('81-88/ - RIP), is his willing bow to those that came before THE NOW. He has surrounded himself with exceptional musicians from the beginning to the present - and willingly acknowledges the all genres. That said, 77s fans are smart... but some may have forgetten their 'lost days' and in that, haven't recognized that this is an outstanding album of covers. The boys from Sacremento do justice to the blues of old, including two songs recording by Zeppelin. A must have!
