Recommended tracks: Reckoning Day Train of Consequences A Tout Le Monde Elysian Fields Killing Road Blood Heroes Family Tree Youthanasia Black Curtains Victory

Good. Not their best, but pretty good. Train of Consequences, A Tout le Monde, and Victory are the best.

Original mastered album?. I love this album But the remaster is missing some of the depth of the original. It sounds like the rhythm guitar is cut out. We please release the original mix!

Underrated. Youthanasia is not appreciated as much as the previous realeses because it is slower, but it is still great. The standout tracks are reckoning day, train of conseqences and the title track. Reckoning day and train of consequences are great thrash metal songs that use a mid tempo chugging riffs. So is black curtains, which sounds like metalicas sad but true. The rest of the album is slower and more mainstream. The title track is like a speed metal song that has been slowed down. The solo is awesome. This album is the last album before Megadeth went commercial with cryptic writings and risk.

Great old school deth with tons of melody. This is such a great album - the melodic sound from Countdown to Extinction has been evolved further - less speed, more melody. Great riffs, great guitar licks & hooks and great vocal melodies. Really good album. All songs on here are strong as hell.

Still love this. Remember hearing this album for the first time when I was 9 years old. Lol probably shouldn’t have been listening but my older brother had the CD and I was hooked!

The 04 Remaster Vs the Original.. hmmm.... A couple of the songs, like Elysian Fields, sound better remastered because they are more vocal focused, but most of them, like Blood of Heroes, which are supposed to sound deeper, giving more power to the instrumental portion, sound much better in the original recording that iTunes also sells. You really have to pick and choose between the two.

Not this version. Great record. This is the terrible 2004 remix/remaster with the hollow poppy snare drum. Grab the original release somewhere.

Amazing. Personally I prefer early megadeth by this album will take you on a ride and never will let you go this and Dave vocals are the best on this album some of Marty freidman best solos on this album

AMAZING!!. Youthanasia is probably my favorite album from Megadeth. Amazing from start to finish. A MUST buy!!

Megadeth's "Black" album!. This is the best song writing that Dave and the band ever did. Don't get me wrong, there are great songs on other records like Hangar 18, Symphony, but this album is just fantastic from the beginning to the end. I worked in a music store until they all mostly went down the drain and when my staff heard this record we all thought this was going to be HUGE. This album should have been the start of a major new chapter in the book of Megadeth and had them all over the place. Sadly, grunge had already taken over and this album was very under appreciated. BUY the entire album it does not disappoint!

Such a great Megadeth album. While the thrash aspect of the band is pretty much missing from this album, the song writing is outstanding. Very catchy, memorable choruses, crazy/awesome riffs and a great production. As someone already noted, this was the last great Megadeth album. Check out “Evolver - The Making of Youthinasia” on youtube for a behind the scenes look at the album being created.

Great metal. Megadeth kills this album. New world order bonus track is such a good song .

Good. Get the Á Tout le Monde United Abominations version though, it's better. A lot better

Great Song Writing. Love this album. Underrated work from them

Very underrated!!!. Definitely one of if not their most creative album.

Remastered? Revised is more like it.. It's one of my fave Megadeth albums but it sounds like whoever was in charge of this remaster did a drum replacement on Nick Menza's tracks using EZ Drummer's "Drumkit from Hell" library. The new mix sounds like they pulled some of the oomph out of it. Maybe that was done for the sake of earbud users but it's weak compared to my original CD copy. Still, at $4.99, the extra tunes are worth the buy if you're a completist like me.

Underrated Masterpiece. Dave's vocals are top notch throughout the album, especially on A Tout Le Monde and Victory. This is probably Megadeth's 3rd or 4th best album, but still a classic. All these songs are really good, but I recommend : Reckoning Day, Train of Consequences, A Tout Le Monde, The Killing Road, & Victory.

Needs the original recordings. iTunes you need to remaster with the original recordings
