Stop fooling yourselves. Husker Du is the most overrated band in the history of music. Bob Mould couldn't hold Westerberg's jock. Long live the Mats. hahahahahahahaha!!!

Another Classic. Bob Mould has done it again with Body of Song. Circles is one his finest works. If you are a fan of his earlier solo works you will for sure like this album as well. Bob Mould has gone back to his roots on this one...great vocals and strong guitar work. We can only hope this is the beginning of the return of Bob Mould!

This is great!. What a good CD the song "circles" is a classic!! a must download! also light love hope, has a very different style a little like the old Peter Gabriel songs!! enjoy!!

Needs more than a couple of listens to appreciate. I have to admit I was a bit nervous when Bob moved into the electronic realm. While Modulate had some great songs and song textures, it was not one of my all time favorites. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for....This collection has a little bit for everyone. The dance rythym crowd (Shine Your Light)...The more standard rock sound (Paralyzed, I am Vision, Underneath Days, Beating Heart)...The groover track (Always Tomorrow) and lastly, one of Bob's most beautiful songs (Days of Rain). A wonderful collection, overall.

great album. buy it now. I bought it when it came out and still listen to it and enjoy it...more and more.

Biased Review:). First, a disclosure, I love Bob. I have loved Bob since I was 20 years old, and I am, well, lets just say I could easily have a 20 year old! And as an avid Husker Du fan who wishes all those problems would be resolved to iTunes could get the HD music up, I was thrilled when this album came out. It is not "the same" as the last, nor any of the others. This one is all his own. So some die hards will find what they like, new listeners will find what they like. And I get another New Bob Mould album. It is hard to describe Bob Mould to the unconverted, but suffice it to say that he is like nothing else you have ever heard, and he is a master of that. His songs hone the art of pain to a sharp point, and you can, at times, feel his pain. His music has always spoken to me. I wish a whole new generation will now "discover" Bob, and that iTunes will get Husker Du, so all those young kids out here will see where bands like Green Day got their inspiration! (PS, no hate mail, I love Green Day too!)

Out of sight. Bob has the blend right a major adavance since modulate in blending the "old" and "new" , ignore this one at your peril!

Genius!. Bob Mould does it yet again! An incredible pop album with an undeniable edge. He never stops. Genius!

Bob Mould is the real deal!. Although his diehard fans know that Bob Mould has never left the music scene, this album announces to the rest of the world that "Bob is BACK!" Covering the range of styles that span his diverse career, Body of Song is an infectious reminder of what rock and roll can be. Great songwriting, great musical ability, great fun! When's the next one Bob? We'll be waiting.

Bob is back!. While Modulate wasn't my favorite album of Mould's, I still respected him for trying a new direction. With Body of Song he hasn’t kicked the electronica bug entirely (as evidenced on (Shine Your) Light Love Hope and I Am Vision I Am Sound), but with the help of Fugazi’s Brendan Canty on drums and David Barbe from Sugar on bass , he hasn’t sounded this good in years. His trademark swarm of bees guitar sears through many of the tracks and so does his attitude. In particular, Paralyzed and Underneath Days (my favorite tracks) herald the return of “Bitter Bob”. I love this album and can't wait to hear his next one.

Sugar never tasted as sweet. As an avid fan of Copper Blue, this album seemed new yet familiar at the first listen. The trade mark songwriting is present as is the guitar led sound of old but the added electronica brings the music right up to the present. Aside from the guitars, the drumming is absolutely outstanding. I agree with an earlier comment that Circles is a classic and will surely be the top of any playlist of those who hear it!
