Awesome... ANthrax have really surprised me here. I can't believe that Joey can sing Steve Perry like that.. That's awesome. This had to have been fun for the band to record and for that and for the fact that these aren't typical metal covers I give this two devil horns straight up in the air!! Now give us some new stuff soon guys. No more thousand year lay-offs. hahaha

The old classics. Killer mix of some classics

Seriously?. Really?...Seriously? This is what one of the pillars of thrash metal has resorted to to make a dollar? Until they come to their senses, reconcile with John Bush, and return to the tear they were on 10 years ago I am done spending money on anything new from Anthrax. Don't get me wrong. I loved the Joey years back in the day, but keep in mind Joey's vocal style was actually synonymous with the typical metal-style vocals back in the 80's. Time marches on and the music scene is always evolving. I think the change to Bush came at the perfect time for Anthrax in the 90's. I loved every album with John Bush; dare I say I loved them more than Joey's. In the end I think the band's music was more creative and had greater depth when John Bush and Dan Spitz were in the lineup. ...essentially, they matured. Worship Music was a nice return to their pre-90's vibe and a nostalgic stroll down amnesia lane, but there was just something missing from that album.

Just a Cover. Relax guys....they're just covers...

COVER RUSH??? Cheap Trick Big Eyes???. Are you kidding me? If you cover a Rush tune you better know what you're doing and you better do it extraordinarily well. i was very pleasantly surprised to here Anthrax just that with Anthem. Well done boys. You took a big risk on that one, but you pulled it off. Then you have one of my all time favorite tunes from Cheap Trick, Big Eyes. I could not believe I saw that song on this CD. And once again they hit a grand slam covering it too. Boston, Thin Lizzy. Wow. Best cover CD I've heard in some time.

Not just hard. As a fan of Late 80's early 90's Anthrax, I was expecting them to take the classic songs that influenced them and harden them up. I am surprisingly pleased that their abilities run deeper. Smokin' is a GREAT track (both by Boston and this version.) Good job

lame. Worst anthrax album ever!!!

Pretty cool. Have to say, it was interesting to hear their versions of these songs. The instruments/music was spot on! Great job boys. The vocals were a bit weak in my opinion but all in all, happy with the purchase. Worth the money.

Cheesy. Get John Bush back quick !! Joey is a cheesy clown, glam rocker, has been. John Bush was tha MAN... Anthrax has definitely lost the edge since there their masterpiece WCFYA.

Absolutely Horrible ... Should be $0.99. Shameful ...

We as fans, have FAILED!!!. I stop and I look at the career that is ANTHRAX!!! Admittedly, my 2nd fave band... behind Slayer. Having gotten that out of the way, I have often asked myself "Why did Anthrax do so many covers through their career?" Think about this for a second... Throughout the Jon Bush era... I don't know of ANY covers being recorded. The Belladonna era, they're all over the place. HOWEVER, through BOTH eras, 3 songs were staples of the ANTHRAX live shows... Anti-Social, Got The Time & Bring The Noise... ALL COVERS. As fans, WE have failed... by allowing this to happen. Yes, it is the band & their label that pick the singles... but nonetheless, can we say without a doubt, that these songs are the best on their respective albums? I give a resounding H*LL NO. But I have gotten way off track. This album... Is very well done. I cannot (will not) give it a "great" rating though, as they are all covers. C'mon guys...

Not my thing.. With the exception of the Thin Lizzy and AC/DC songs, I didn't like these. It's a valiant effort, but not something I enjoyed. If you like these songs, pick it up.

Awesome. First off, John Bush fans: we get it. You prefer John Bush. He ain't coming back. Get over it. Go listen to Armored Saint or something. Next: the point of a cover is to add a new interpretation of a song, and, of course, not to sound like crap. I think this EP (not a full album; the proper LP is coming next year so calm down guys) does both. It's got some great reinterpretations of some classic 70's/80's rock, Anthrax style (not as much as I'd hoped, but it's still good).

Awesome and way beyond fun!. Great to hear all of these songs that we all know get SUPER CHARGED! This will be rocking my earbuds all summer long!

Hideous. Poor choice of songs for a metal band. At least make them unique and not like the originals.

Wonders of the World! Yeaaaaaaaah!. Hilarious! A great comedy album!

Sounds good. I realize its a cover album. They do a good job on the album. My problem is they sound like the originals. They don't sound like Anthrax.

needs more cowbell.... But seriously, the vocals sound awful. And I'm not convinced that this is Anthrax.

True Anthrax fans will get it. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for this album . . . But if your a true fan (Bush or not) you will get it . . . Anthrax does this kinda stuff every few years . . . And you gotta appreciate their humor . . . C'mon . . . Smokin' (which is a great track) coming in at exactly 4:20? You just gotta laugh!

So, so sad.. Once a hardcore anthrax fan, now just depressed.

Ehh. REALLY?!!!!

Awesome. It's good to hear anthrax get back to their roots. All the covers are entertaining and they pull off Rush quite well. Worth the $6

Meh. Meh... Nuff said...

This isn't meant to be a "New Album". They are just playing music they grew up loving that influenced them. I think they did a hell of a job here. this is meant to be fun and to pay tribute to some of the biggest rock bands in history.

Rockin' Fun EP!. If you're looking for a face-melting new Anthrax album, this isn't it. But if you want to hear the guys put their own spin on the music they grew up listening to, and helped make them into the musicians they became, then pick this up. I think it's great and you can feel how much fun they had playing these songs. It's an inexpensive EP that shows Anthrax doing something a little different. I think real music fans, and fans of Anthrax, will appreciate it and want to add it to their collections.

BLAH!. This just seems lazy. Write some new songs.

Awesome cover album!. This album is amazing. All the covers are great, especially Smokin' and Anthem. The only cover that I feel is lacking a bit is T.N.T, but besides that, the album is worth the money. Great job guys!

Good covers technically speaking.... ...but I just wish they'd add a little more Anthrax personality to them. They're performed well (and I appreciate the tribute to one of Journey's most underrated deep cuts) but they just seem to be playing it a little too safe here by basically sounding like Joey singing karaoke over the original tracks.

Sounds great!. Gotta admit that I was surprised by the choices. Then I heard them, These guys are MUCH more than one trick ponies. The Rush, AC/DC, and Lizzy sound especially good. The Journey cover surprises me the most. He gets about as close to Perry as a metal singer could, (or should..lol). This is the sound of a band having a LOT of fun. By the way, since when have Anthrax fans been so pouty? Always though that you guys were more behind the band. Oh well, my bad.

Should be biggest of "Big 4". Having grown up with the Big 4, Anthrax to my ears is the king. Metallica have not done anything significant since the Black album how they are still relevent is beyond me. Joey really shines on this one with his range. I loved John Bush and think his tenure was very underrated with the band but he could have never sang some of the songs on here. The influences of Anthrax show why their music is so great. No boundries! Play what feels good! Great "souvenier" album!

forgettable...wait, what was i writing about?. cover albums can be difficult to pull off, especially when most of the songs are so well known. these tracks are well executed and played straight, true to the originals (maybe played too straight, your call). the thrill of something new from anthrax prompted me to buy this right away. great last couple of years for anthrax fans. great album, great shows, an incredible return to form. that having been said, i'll probably never play this ep again. heard most of these songs enough for one lifetime, and the originals are better. hope that rob leaving, this quality but redundant collection being released isn't a bad omen for the future. we need our anthrax.

Horrible. The worst theyve sounded in years

Awesome!!. Fun album!!! Brings me back to "Attack of the Killer Bees" Great choice of songs!! Those Anthrax fans who don't like this EP, well, you have to wait until fall for the next album!

nooooooooo!!!!!!. please people do not support a band who has a pentagram as their cd cover. i dont care what these guys sound like thats a horrible cover.

I dont see why covers are so bad. and to all the poeple who do this anywhere "omg im such a hardcore (insert band name) fan, but this stuff just makes me depressed" dont go freaking cry because your band didnt write new stuff, they made this album for their fans, so getting mad at the fact its not new stuff shouldnt really happen, it just makes you look immature...

It's Sick. I don't understand why people hate this it's awesome

Crap!!!!!!!!. I loved Anthrax back in the day. Caught In A Mosh, Madhouse. Awesome. John Bush has grown on me to the point that now I like him so much more than Joey Blowslikedonna.

Getting back to the roots.. This album is full of songs that influenced Anthrax and the songs they wrote. They have been doing cover songs since the beginning and why stop now. These songs are re-done with Anthrax's taste and flare shining through. I don't care what's on the cover get over it and tune your radio to the fish station ya bible thumper. And if u don't like Joey as the singer there are a lot more of us that liked them better with him. Being a bass player for the past 28 years and being influenced by the same songs I just want to say thank you for this record.

Joey's The Man!!!!!. Only a band that is powerful vocally can pull something like this off!! And Joey's the Man!! Without Joey,it's not Anthrax!!!!!! And i'll be at the show this Tuesday!!! Awsome!!

A good solid effort!. This is a great cover album I couldn't have asked for better songs! And god forbid Anthrax do tributes to some bands they grew up with, all these people complaining that they covered journey. In my opinion it's a great cover!

Ouch. Cool tunes (sorta), but couldn't these have been saved for the B-Sides to the singles of a new CD?

Coming soon to a moldy rock fest near you. ...Anthrax. Wow. This is awful. I assume this is Joey singing. I'm not sure other than Charlie who is left in the band, because I can't hear any of them in the music. My hope is that this is a way for them to get out of a record contract. Honestly, after John Bush left the band and Joey came back, they jumped the shark to me. I am the Law, Only, Madhouse, Metal Thrashing Mad, What Doesn't Die... remember when they recorded stuff like that?? This stuff is terrrible!

Killer. Dude it's Anthrax!

Great CD of covers!. I was hoping Adrenaline Mobs CD was going to be great, but compared to this one, it sounds like a garage band made it. This blows the Mobs out of the water from production, song selection, quality, playing, and tightness in the songs. Very pleasantly surprised with this release from Anthrax.

Smokin!!!!!. These are great songs. I think it's great when my favorite Metal bands play/record versions of my favorite classic rock songs! Nice job fellas!

Bush. I love anything Anthrax puts out, but loved sound of white noise should sum it up...

Metal Journey. Best song on here is keep on runnin.. The rest kinda sound like copies and not making it their own, giving it that Anthrax crunch we all know and love.

Anthrax rock and roll. I love most Anthrax, Bush and Belladonna. I have had ATLiving since 1987. Worship music was fantastic. That said, this is fun Anthrax rock & roll style. So what if they don't have an original Anthrax quality, for 5.99 they are just rocking out. Don't look for the interesting lyrics of their studio albums, but the vocals and musicianship are great, and what makes it original is that these are tunes (Cheap Trick, Journey, Boston, Thin Lizzy....) that you would never imagine Anthrax playing. And finally, the remix of Crawl is great. Anthrax w symphony on that particular song works for me surprisingly well. Look, if you are reading this review, just buy this and support Anthrax, and then just keep it rotating with all of Anthrax's original stuff. The tunes here are nice & fun, a break from the intensity, but rocking nonetheless,

Sorry. When an iconic thrash band does covers of rock classics,I believe they should not imitate these classic works but put an Anthrax spin on them. Wouldn't have been cool to hear the thrash version of TNT or Smokin, well that's what I was expecting.

best Geddy Lee I've heard. I am really digging this. So it's all covers...who cares!! I love anyone that can pull off a good Rush
