Wow Blown Away!!!. This is the first time I have bought an album not knowing the artist or her songs. Listened to a few minutes on iTunes and knew I had to have this album. Ashley sings Country the way that would make Patsy or Tammy proud, true country. You need to buy the whole album not just a song or two. You will truly enjoy listening to her voice.

Solid from a underrated country girl.... All the songs are classic, good old country. The last sone number 9 w b shelt is a classic country sound with some stupid lyrics. He even mentions "the voice"....lame, Coulda done without that song and one or two more like her other songs to round out a solid cd.

Wow.... Ashley is amazing! She's got such a pure, angelic voice - reminds me A LOT of Lee Ann Womack! These songs are great, she's a wonderful songwriter. Even though she's great in the Pistol Annies, she's going to have a successful solo career , just like Ran. All in all, GREAT album and GREAT singer! :)

Ashley. Ashley comes from good stock. Her late father, Larry, was Carl Smith's second cousin. Carl, a Hall of Fame inductee, was raised in the same area of East TN as Ashley was before she moved to Nashville. Like Carl, she is 100% country and authentic. Her voice is angelic and comparable to Alison Krauss. It's about time we started hearing songs from Nashville like this!

LOVE her voice. I bought several tracks off of this album and I love them all. My favorite would have to be "You Got Me". There's just something about that song, it draws me in. Ashley's voice is so so good!

She's definitely got best new country album. From the first few seconds of listening I knew I was really going to enjoy this album. Amazing talent, her voice is a little like Dolly's but the music is very easy to get into. Even for folks who aren't big country buffs.

Ashley's voice is awesome!. "Bruises" brought me to Ashley, and she really got a wonderful voice. Hope the radio could play more of her songs.

Fresh look at country music. This album is really good. My fav is the title tune "Like a Rose". I wish radio would play more of Ashley 's music. Of course, "Give me weed instead of Roses" is a classic country song which Vince Gill insisted she put on the album, per Ashley"s comment at a recent concert. It's funny & slick.

GREAT Traditional Country. Wow. This is fantastic. Its so great to hear that vintage, traditional country sound spilling through. She DOES sing like an angel. Love it! Keep it coming Ashley.

Interesting... Ashley Monroe!. The Album Cover got me interested... beautiful photography. With a sweet Country melody I would listen to this album if I was drinking warm coffee at a diner. Love this album.

A Fantastic New Country Artist. Traditional country music is alive and well in Ashley Monroe. Like a Rose has one great song after another. Especially good are Like a Rose, Two Weeks Late, Used, Weed Instead of Roses, The Morning After and You Ain't Dolly (And You Ain't Porter). Ashley has a fantastic voice. She sounds a lot like Dolly Parton. To make things even better, Ashley is an excellent songwriter and beautiful to boot. In my book she is at the top of the country music world. Ashley is the best by far.

I'm amazed & in love... With this album and in absolute shock I didn't look her up earlier.. Her duet with Blake Shelton is on the radio, now I'm questioning why this isn't!! She's got an amazing unique voice, lyrics that let your heart cry out and she's beautiful! I respect how she defines raw hardest to go through emotions with some of her music as well. Definitely a new favorite, love her!!! 💕

Like A Rose. I had personally never heard of Ashley Monroe,until one night I heard her on Saturday Night Country. Whilst this album is only 9 tracks, it is all quality.My favourites are: Two wweks late, weed instead of roses,she's driving me out of your mind and you ain't dolly. I only hope that Ashley remains true to the genre,and is not using the country genre as a stepping stone to get into mainstream rock like so many new acts do these days.This album will please any country fan,especially if you like artists such as Catherine Britt,

The album of the year. Ashley Monroe has released two of the best country albums of the year in 2013 with this and the Pistol Annies second release. This is narrowly the better album and is packed with some proper country songs incl. a fun duet with Blake Shelton. The writing is excellent, the vocals are mournful and full of emotion and the production and occasional background vocals from Vince Gill are superb. Ashley is going to have to go some to top this. Its an antidote to the awful Taylor Swift generation and proof that real country music is still around.

This is one of the albums of 2013. Beautifully written and performed, and critically acclaimed. This is a great album of traditional country music with a very up-to-date vibe. Ashley Monroe is someone that is going to be around for a very long time

Traditional country vocals. It's nice to buy a modern day country album that sounds country. Too many artists try to steer music down a path it shouldn't go. Deep meaningful vocals with music that compliments the artist.
