Many years later... still her best. I own six Toni Braxton albums; obviously I am fan. There is always hope for something better, but so far this is still her best effort! That’s not to say I do not like the other albums because I do, but like so many artists Toni was at her best early in her career when she was “hungry” and determined to claim her place in the musical firmament. No sophomore slump here. Secrets is decidedly better than her debut. The only trouble is it set the bar so high that Toni will have a hard time replicating its quality. It has been a pleasure to hear her try over the years, but I keep coming back to Secrets and find it as fresh as the year it was released. That is the mark of a good album. The last song is as strong as the first or any of the singles. Braxton and Babyface are a wonderful combination.

Living legend. This album is watermark for the 90s, and people are still singing her songs from this album!

Where's the dance jams?. I love Toni Braxton I have all her albums and I love this album also I just wish there was some faster beats on it it's very slow R&B

Bobby Bee on 'Secrets'.... Maybe the only T.B. CD I DON'T own. But it's bad! Snatch it! It contains her Mega-hit, "Unbreak My Heart"!! (Besides, she's born on my 1st wife's birthday,shhhh)

Un-Break My Heart. Toni Braxton's 1996 mega hit, "Un-Break My Heart" literally goes up there as one of the best songs of all time in any genre. It's such a moving song with a quiet storm feel with an amazing gospel tinged chorus, and with Toni's chilling vocals, it was only obvious when it reached #1 in the United States. It was listed at #10 in the list of the most successful songs in United States history, but it deserved to be #1 in my opinion, and this song will leave behind a legacy as being real music, not manufactured trashy pop hooks. As for the rest of the album, it is just that: real music. Forever a fan, Toni Braxton.
