Dmb. I'm only 12 years old and I am obsessed with dave.

Favorite Dave album!!. Favorite Dave album by far!!

A Must-Own!!. When I first got this album as a birthday gift from my sister, I wasn't too crazy about it (her best friend had told her it was a good choice). Then again, I was 10 years old and really stupid, not knowing what great music was. Over the past 15 years however, I have grown to absolutely love this band, and keep coming back to the album that started it all for me-Under the Table and Dreaming. I don't see how anyone can claim to be a DMB fan and not own this album-it is downright essential in my opinion. It NEVER gets old, and once you love it you always will!

AWESOME. THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME GET IT NOW OR I KILL YOU.

Love. I play the older albums all the time. Love DMB.

Probably his best work. I was 18yo and just starting college when this album was released. What awesome memories these songs bring, nights on campus playing volleyball DMB blaring on the radio. Not sure any of his other albums even come close in greatness to this one.

One of The all Time Best!. All other DMB albums are judged against this one. This is the one I almost wore out, back in the day.

ANOTHER BEST ALBUM EVER!!. DMB is just so awesome!! This is one of my favorites of theirs!! So many songs that I love!

Who doesnt love Dave. There is something wrong with your hearing if you dont.

Takes me back. I remember when this first came out, listening to it again was like a time machine that was opened. It was better than the first time. Simply timeless musical masterpiece.

Donald Nyquist, Anaconda MT, Aug 2010, 59 yrs. I got this album in Butte 1995 on my way to New Orleans (One of many times), 20 years, grad school Miss State, married to a W. Carib., daughter, Nitchi lives there still, lost my left leg, all of it, there. Couldn't get people interested in my elation, besides I was just from Anaconda, Montana, who was I? They were headlining the jazz fest. that night, and the top dog in a local band called me a hillbilly and they had to be crap. I called his big bluff, embarrassed him infront of the crowd. I saw him later and he told me he quit calling Montanans hillbillies. Thanks man, Thanks Dave. Don, Hi Nitchi! 5 stars

GREATEST. MUSICIAN. EVER.. Dave Matthews has a gift that not many other artists have today. Musical Talent. He actually writes his music for a change. I put him up there with John Mayor, Jack Johnson, and the few other artists of today who have stuck to good, intelligent music even though most music listeners nowadays nowadays have forgotten the great bands of long ago such as the beatles, Yes, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

DMB!. This seems to be the perfect music to listen to whilst driving. It's also nice to have on in the background as you're doing schoolwork.

Unprecedented. Still one of my all-time favorite albums by ANY band. Not a bad track on here--they all have their own personality, and I'll submit that no other album flows as well as this one does from one song to the next. Under The Table is nothing less than a must-own; if you don't get it on iTunes, then for God's sake, get it somewhere!

DMB. The Dave Matthews Band is a 90's era band. Now, their music is original, rocking and kind of random. Now recently (in 2008) their saxophonist was killed in an ATV accident. Although they were sad and distraught they finished the album they had been working on and they dedicated that album to their saxophonist and the album is called Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King. I would really recomend that album to any of you who like the DMB!!

One of the best ever!. This is one of those albums that of I could only choose 3 albums, from all of those in recorded history, for the rest of my life... This would be one of those 3. It is one of the reasons that I picked up a guitar in the first place. I've now been playing for over 15 years and have DMB, in part, to thank for it. Truly amazing piece of art.

DMBs never been the same since this album. Ive had this album since 95,and it's still top five album that i listen to. I guess it's what you call a timeless album, and some may say that im crazy for saying that, but not once in the last fourteen years have i gotten sick of it or found anything better. Unfortunately every DMB album after under the table and dreaming fell short of this one, and i stopped listening to DMB after before these crowded streets album, simply because his sound became all mainstream and pop, especially during his forgettable solo run... argh. You can easily listen to this album without skipping a track - i guarantee it! If you like this album, i suggest getting live at luther college, as well. it's pretty amazing.

DMB Sound. If someone said what is the base "DMB sound" I would give them this album. Simply fantastic.

ehe. this album brings back so many memories of my childhood it was also probably the first band i ever heard

Daves songs make me happy. My title says everything; Dave and his band are absolutely amazing. And Carter? BEST DRUMMER I've ever heard!! I could say so much more, but it would take you all day to read this. Dancing Nancies or Dreamgirl are personally my favorite.

simply amazing!. this is just an amazing album from start to finish! it has everything! from the slow mellow mood setting "lover lay down" to the dmb defining "warehouse".

Timeless. Title of this review says it all. The only thing that will make this better is a digital remaster. Come on…. give it to us for the 20th anniversary at least :)

New DMB fans? Buy this. To all you new DMB fans out there, this is a must have. #34, if you bought it on cd back in the day, was a hidden track. After "pay for what you get"(which is also amazing) the track went on in silence for minutes then all of a sudden this gem instrumental track(#34) comes on and perfectly and beautifully ended one great album. Enjoy.

Buy It!. I love this album. Every song on this album would be the hit song on anyone else's album.

DMB. When this album came out I was a 11 year old at sleep away camp. One of my camp counselors started a nightly routine of the cabin getting ready for lights outs to DMB. I think by the time the CD repeated for the 3rd time a rowdy cabin of girls were fast asleep. I am 28 and listen and fall asleep to DMB.

Top 5 album of the 90s. I was in college when I first heard DMB. The radio was filled with crap for the most part; boy bands, over-produced one-hit wonders, etc. Then I heard this album. It blew me away like no album before or since. It was somehow different, foreign - yet familiar at the same time. Acoustic guitar, electric violin, sax (flute), mad bass lines, and the best drummer I had EVER heard on a pop album. I you are not familiar with DMB, start either here or with Remember Two Things. This album is the band's first studio album with the support of a major record label. Producer Steve Lillywhite did a great job of staying out of the way in order to capture the essence of DMB - live music. There is not a weak track on this album.

~*DMB's Greatest Album!*~. In my opinion, this is DMB's greatest album and one of the best albums (if not THE best) of all time! This is a MUST HAVE for all DMB fans and any newcomers who want to experience music at its finest! Please do yourself a favor and purchase this album! FANTASTIC!!!

Elizabeth. Dave Matthews band is just beautiful. There is nothing I like better than to just sit back and listen to their music over and over till I fall asleep. To my opinion they are the best in the world. You can't get better than this.

A classic. I have owned this album since it came out and I never get tired of it. One of their greatest.

great album. ants marching reminds me of being out in the country for some reason

The Best of What's Around. I was introduced to the Dave Matthews Band by way of "Before These Crowded Streets," rather than going in the proper order. But when I finally did get around to buying "Under the Table and Dreaming," I was already perfectly confident that it would be just as fantastic as the rest of the DMB material I had heard/purchased up to that point. I was right. This was the second CD they released and the first studio CD (if you don't count the studio takes of "Seek Up" and "Minarets" on the "Remember Two Things" CD), and you can hear the limitations in their sound quality and a little less ambience than on "Crash" and "BTCS." They were just starting out with Steve Lilywhite and had not found their signature sound just yet, though you can hear it developing more and more throughout the disc. Of course, everyone on Earth knows "Satellite" and probably "Ants Marching." They've been overplayed to death and stil I enjoy them when I hear them. That is one of the things that separates DMB from the rest of the crowd, to me anyway. I can listen to them over and over and not get tired of them. But back to the album. Like I said, everyone is probably familiar with those two by now, but if you're not a Dave fan already, you probably have never heard the intricacy of ballads like "Pay For What You Get" and the beautiful "#34." You also may not be familiar with the rocking "Dancing Nancies" (which asks the question, "Could I have been anyone other than me?") and the poetically-inspired "Typical Situation." I can't say that this is "early" Dave Matthews, because the order in which all the band's songs were written belies the order in which they appear on albums. But I can say with confidence that this is GREAT Dave Matthews... but then... what ISN'T?

Classic Dave. I remember listening to this cd with my dad on the way to elementary school and I love it as much now as I did when I was five years old.

Ashamed to admit it, but... I actually liked this album when it first came out. But my interest in DMB was fleeting, because a little went a long way. I've come to hate Dave Matthews and everything he stands for. He has one of the worst, annoying singing voices around. All of his albums sound the same. And I can not tolerate that lame boogie jam crap he's known for. I know a lot of people who cannot stand him, and I am one of them. This garbage is as pathetic as Santana or the Grateful Dead.

Pure Talent. This album is of one of the best albums of all time in my opinion. The album name fits the tone of the music perfectly everytime I listen all I want to do is dream. Take it from me I have owned this album since I was a child (hints im not very old) and this is my third time replacing my worn out album. I absolutly love their music, you want Dave Matthews Band at its best heres your album!

Satellite. Satellite is by far my absolute favorite DMB song. I grew up listening to it, because my parents loved to play this CD. I've only recently realized how much I love this song, from saxophone to acoustic guitar to vocals, Satellite will always have a place in my metaphorical music heart.

hmm. sounds good....... but am i actually suppose to understand a word he's saying ?

Under The Table and Dreaming. Best "big" dave album ever!! period

well here i am. i was simply trailing along the flea market lane looking around and then i saw a g,limer in my eye. the sun reflected off the case and got in my eye!!

Terrific. If you only need one Dave Matthews CD, make it this one

Best DMB Album Ever!. One of my favorite albums of all time! I never get tired of listening to these songs, especially Satellite and Warehouse. I'm not sure if Dave will ever be able to top this album; there isn't one bad song in the bunch.

life in color. the best album of all time!!! when this cd came out in 93 it changed the course of my life forever and brought deeper meaning to everything around me. it was my transition from pop music and childlike ways to full blown aduthood and the power of the medium. thank you DMB i will always be in debut to you for helping me see my life in colors.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!. AS you can tell from my name, DMB FReak, i am obsessed with the Dave Matthews band. And i recently got interested in his music. I first heard Big Whiskey and a few of the singles on the radio and then i looked into the rest of his music. And i am telling you, Dave Matthews is a musical genius!!! but this album, it will not dissapoint!!!!!

great album. :). im only 13 & satellite is by far one of my favorite songs. im obsessed with dmb!

Greatest band ever!!!!!. One of there best albums I really love Ants Marching and Jimi Thing.

1st Love. DMB was my first love, and this album is the best of the DMB sound. Every song on this album is special. Under the Table and Dreaming is quintessential DMB. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Classic. This CD brings back so many memories of when I was in college. Around this time you could not go anywhere and this not be playing. So many classic songs. Yes, my 1994 CD is so scratched I'm buying on it itunes in 2011.

Wow! :D. I recently purchased this album not knowing what to expect and I must say that I was surprised! This album is truely a masterpiece and all should listen to it! Go DMB!!!

The album that started this DMB love affair for me. The time this album dropped i was around the age of 14, but yet i can still distinctly remember hearing thier song "What would you say" on the radio and instantly became hooked on thier sound, the crazy amounts of instruments and daves voice were like nothing that was played at that time. I would catch myself singing this song loudly as i was out riding my bicycle all the time and it wasn't long until i convinced my parents to get me the CD. I can still honestly say to this day that every song on that album blew me away and within a few days i had every song on that album memorized. It's a great CD that every DMB fan should own.

a must have. I too am replacing the worn out cd. This sounds great with a little smoke and some head phones. Steve lillywhite get's some great tones on this one. Sit back and relax.
