memorium. Love this collection of darkly imbued works it screams film noir score at every turn. Classical in tone but refreshly heartfelt checkout Sarajevo and Landscape with Figures. This album gets under the skin, such a joy for the ears leaves you with a warm glow Quality from start to finish.

Beautiful!. I love his work and can honestly say that I have not yet been disappointed. His music is very evocative and emotionally stimulating - each album is a journey in provoking thoughts and feelings - a journey of the 'Self'

Genius. Max Richter is one of those musicians that don't come along often, all of his albums are thought provoking, relaxing and in a different league to anything else. I found his music a few years ago and haven't stopped listening since. The fact that all his albums have such good reviews should say a lot more about it than my words. I feel like it is a pleasure telling friends and family about his music, even my wife said when she heard his him for the first time "how does someone think of music so intricate and detailed?"

Exceptional. I bought this album when it came out nearly 10 years ago, and didn't quite appreciate it fully then, but as I have got older it grows on me more, it is just a beautiful album, has a kind of somber soundtrack feel and you have to be in the right mood but can take you to another level of emotional depth which is quite rare.

£7.99 is a steal. Clever, clever, clever man. Embers is particulary beautiful. the whole album is genious.

Was John Foxx, of Ultravox fame, an influence?. On John Foxx's 1981 solo album 'The Garden' the first track is 'Europe after the rain'. This album has tracks called both 'The Garden' and 'Europe after the rain'. Coincidence.

fantastic!. I only heard of Max Richter recently, as I have no knowledge at all really of this genre, I really enjoy this and his other albums. I highly recommend this particular album!

A beautiful album. The only thing I don't like about this majestic album is the use of sampled voices, which I find horribly fey and adolescent ("Night lets blaze the colours of the souls..." - not for me, thanks). The music, however, is very powerful and I recommend it highly.
