good, but not amazing.. as much as i love Leona Lewis' version of Run, I must say that I'm sticking solidly on team Snow Patrol. I think that they did an amazing job on the song and their voices suit it well. Miss Lewis did wonderfully as well, however, I think that her version has a more melancholy tone to it, with its tempo. I do love it -- its just not my favorite version.

With the melodic harmonies created by the piano in the accompaniment, and the add of the beautiful choir, its no wonder this British bombshell has risen to the top of nearly all the charts internationally. She is really a voice for the new age that everyone can appreciate, regardless of choice of Genre.

For A Cover This Is Pretty Good. I think she did a pretty good job. I think the problem is it's Snow Patrol's song, & he sings it with such sincerity & heart. You can feel his pain, which he was in when he wrote it.

Beautiful Voice...but she's no Gary Lightbody. There is no question that Leona Lewis is gifted and has an amazing voice. However, in her cover of Snow Patrol's "Run," I feel that she falls short. This is probably my favorite song by SP, in part because of the vulnerability and emotion Gary Lightbody brings to the song. Leona Lewis does not seem to "get" the song. While her vocals are impressive and at times haunting, there is no desperation. She simply sings the song and shows off her vocal prowess without conveying the yearning and earnestness that gives the song its meaning and beauty. It feels like a record label's attempt at raping an amazing song to create a safe hit, which is what it will most likely become.

As I am a a die hard Snow Patrol fan, I went into this a bit biased but in all honestly their version is still better, but I love the choir sound this one has. Write your own music.. I think all of Leona Lewis's songs are repetitive and just white noise in the Top 40 genre. She has a beautiful voice and could be doing good things with it, but instead she's gone comercial, how dissappointing. What's even worse is that she took a beautifully different song, and turned it into a mainstream generic pop ballad. Buy the Snow Patroll version.

However, to get the full effect of the beautiful epic ending of this song, you really have to play it on your iPod on full volume and then you will understand how moving this song really is... try it!
