Great Album!. Usually I just buy the one good song a band seems to have but on this album I kept on listening to all the songs and I just had to buy the whole thing. It's an awesome album and I like the variety of the album. The Crow And The Butterfly is way different from The Sound Of Madness but they are both fantastic songs. Nice work Shinedown!!!

Shinedown does it again!. This albume is freaking AWSOME, every song on it is KILLER. People may say that "call me" leaves the hard rock style of the band, but the song is great, it really shows Brent's vocal ability.

Just Not the Shinedown I Liked. Leave a Whisper was one of those albums I couldn't get enough of. Listened to it over and over and over again. Almost every song was good, and the driving rythm made the perfect music to take my Camaro out in. Us and Them was a step toward maturity. Like they harkened back to the 70's and pulled from the melodic side of rock that is so sadly absent from 98% of music today. Lady So Divine, Atmosphere, Fake.. all great songs. Then this album came out. I remember the video for Sound of Madness, and thought, as I saw it for the first time, "What in the world has happened to Shinedown?" Why do they suddenly look like a 90's Ozzy Osbourne cover band? Where did all the melody go? Why is this just endless droning hardrock? The vast majority of songs I simply can't stand, and the only ones with any simblance of what Shinedown used to be are blatant attempts at making pop-rock ballads. You want ballads, go grab one of the Time Magazine 80's mix CD's, or listen to Alter Bridge. At least those are decent ballads. Nothing on this CD is worth listening to, and the only reason I've bothered to give it 2 stars is because Brett Smith has one of the best rock vocals in the industry, and its not sooo bad that I'd trash the disc, but its damn close.

Where is the old shinedown?. This album is a step down from the other two. Guitarist Jason Todd left the band because he didn't like the new direction. I can see why. This album isn't horrible, but compared to the others it is garbage. Breaking inside is the best song on here. I bought this album first then heard fly from the inside, 45, save me, and I dare you, and this cd disappeared off my playlists.

Shinedown is the greatest band alive. I could've sworn Shinedown was more popular then this album shows. About 480 ratings (at time of writing) seems extremely low for a "popular" band. If they aren't well known we have to get their name and this album out for people to hear.

A truely powerful album.. I'm not gonna lie, this is the first album, mind you song, I have heard from Shinedown. I don't know too much, but I know I like this, and many others do to. Devour: Quick paced, and interesting chorus. 10/10 Sound Of Madness: Needs three+ listens to get in to it, but once you do it's amazing. I think the best part is the guitar interlude. 10/10 Secind Chance: Very Powerful, meloncholy, and great. 10/10 Cry For Help: A great, many-parts song. Cool ending. 10/10 The Crow and The Butterfly: Strange metaphor, but just as powerful as Second Chance. 10/10 If You Only Knew: Slower and full of passion. 10/10 Sin With A Grin: Takes a couple of listens, but it will get addicting. 10/10 What A Shame: Personal Favorite. Simialiar to the Crow and The Butterfly, but just as good. Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide: Used to be my most played, with maybe 75 plays. 10/10 Breaking Inside: Nickelback? Maybe. I mean it's not a cover but you know where it comes from. But I think this is a great song. 10/10 Call Me: Seems to be the least favorite of most, but it's probably my favorite. So nostalgiac. 10/10
