Batdance. I love this song

It Is What It Is. This is the greatest soundtrack in movie history period, with Purple Rain a very close second. How many artist can boast about that? Prince was cooking at this time and his creative juices were flowing at a fever pitch as he recovered from Under The Cherry Moon…lol,he is however one of the single greatest musicians in musical history.Peace Hector V.

Great!. Great album and great songs from Prince! I recommend Electric Chair, Partyman, and Batdance. Enjoy!! P.S. I'm a teenager and I enjoy this album!! How about them apples? Lol haha

SCANDALOUS!!!!!. This song, number 8 track is the best song in the album. Period. All other songs, well, its ok.

Ready for the Crush. This album takes me back to 5th grade growing up in Germany as a military brat. Every day after getting home from school this would be the first CD I would throw on and listen to while doing chores/homework. Of course all progress came to a hault once 'Partyman' and 'Batdance' came on so I could bust a move. 'Lemon Crush' would have to be my favorite song on the the album though if you asked me today. The lyrics are EXTREMELY simple, almost junior high-ish, but the way Prince delivers them, and with the bass guitar you know that 'Lemon Crush' is SERIOUS business. Every song on this soundtrack is a banger.

Vicky Waiting. Vicky Waiting is the best song on this album!!!!

Why call it a Batman soundtrack?. Except for Partyman, what does this have to do with Batman AT ALL? It could’ve been the Superman sound track and no one would’ve known a difference. I’ll stick with the Danny Elfman score for the movie. Way better.

Favorite movie album!. This is my favorite piece of work by Prince and one of only 10 albums I can listen to front to back without skipping a track. Buy it. Sing it. Love it!

As amazing as Prince is, this is my favorite Prince CD!. Everyone knows Prince is a musical genius, which is both awesome and a huge albatross. I'm one of those fans that has everything he's ever done and it always surprises people when I tell them that this is my favorite CD. I can't explain it but it just keeps confirming for me that it is his most concise and precise example of perfect music. I think the fact that he was given a very narrow mission and he knocked it out in just a few days may have helped. There is no filler to be found and every song is amazing. I know famous musicians that laugh when asked if they could create this in a few days. And I agree.

Less Burton than Prince, but I like it. If you get into this album because of the Batman character, you might be disappointed - or you might find its postmodern quirkiness a fitting complement to Tim Burton's style. Either way, you should know that BATMAN can be hit-or-miss. "The Arms of Orion" and "Scandalous" sound more appropriate for an '80s prom than a comic-book movie, while "Lemon Crush" and "Batdance" are just silly. But "The Future" is a dark urban poem that makes funk cool again, and "Electric Chair" is a great Joker theme that - just like the villain himself - will make you feel deliciously dirty, and believe that "crimes of passion" will really "set us free!" The album is worth it for those two tracks alone.

Great. One of his best

The 80's beget the 90's. The anal bum cover that defined a generation

The best song on the Album is.... Scandalous.. Prince always has a song to make love too on his albums .This is it. It not a bad album but this song stands out.

Best album ever. I haven't thought about this album in a while, until today when I heard another batman song on the radio. I still have the cassette and remember listening to it everywhere I went with my family. Absolute favorite was batdance, but there wasn't a single one I didn't listen to at least a million and one times. My parents would threaten to take this album away if I wouldn't turn it down. It's gonna be one of those albums I never take off my iPod.

Blah. I didn't like this then and I don't like it now. The Dark Knight of Gotham, even Tim Burton's version, deserved better than this.

It's Prince. Awesomeness at its finest

Bat man. Miss you love you

Classic. The first track is so catchy, This album really grown on me. Absolutely worth listening to.

Great Album of all times from Prince. The best album so far from Prince. I loved 'Electric Chair', 'Partyman' and 'Batdance'. I would heard these 3 songs atleast 100 times since I have bought this album. All the others are also good. Unique music..Every music lover must have this album

My favorite Prince album. RIP Prince. You will always be the Partyman!

All Hail The New King In Town!. There are definitely some classics on this album, and those classics are "Partyman" and "Batdance". I'm not a huge Batman fan, but Prince sure did a great job for Batman's soundtrack.

BATDANCE!. This is an amazingly enjoyable album! For me, Batdance and Scandalous are classic standouts. And I love Trust. Prince at his best!

Considered Guilty. "Ifamanisconsideredguiltyforwhatgoesoninhismindthengivemetheelectricchairforallmyfuturecrimes". Pure genius, said in one nonstop breath. Electric Chair gets 10 stars on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

❤️. ❤️

A Masterpiece. A beautiful album written and composed by one of the greatest artists of all time.

One of his best work. Prince made the movie and the album the best of its time ! !

TIGHT!!!. I remember this album when i was a little kid listening to this soundtrack...i never thought it was songs by Prince....WOW!!!! it's really tight...

Bat dance.... Some songs are classics, some are just ok, and then there's Batdance. Batdance keeps the album from being 5/5 for me.

BATMAN. I must admit that this album was Prince at his best and best the greatest movie soundtrack of the 80's.

An outstanding album. There's isn't a dog on this album. On the contrary, it includes some of his very best music. "Batdance" is a virtuoso dance tune, but its complexity rewards careful listening. "Partyman" has a groove that still holds up. And among the many hundreds of songs he has released, "Vicki Waiting" stands among the top 20; it's utterly, purely Prince. Even the song that many critics dismissed, "The Arms of Orion" is really pretty. "Scandalous," of course, is right up there with his other power seduction songs. And toss-offs like "Lemon Crush" friggin' ROCK. By the way, all the b-sides on this album's singles were great, too. And the "Batdance" video totally holds up. God, I miss the days when Prince could release work of this level seemingly without even trying. But I think the last really good album he released was EMANCIPATION. Everything after that was just the work of a spent genius.

I beg to differ. The album review accompanying this title is lame. There IS a classic on this record, a classic baby-makin' song if ever there were one, "Scandalous." Moreover, this is classic Prince, in line with his many other seductive songs like "International Lover," "When Doves Cry," and "Insatiable" just to name a few. There's some customary Prince funk on this album too. Do not, by any means, brush off "Batman."

Love You Prince. Amazing album by Prince input.

Bee on this 'Batman' Soundtrack. Perfect! Perfect Artist. Perfect movie, Perfect Soundtrack!!!

anyone notice.... that the main melody from Scandalous (that is, main "accompanying figure" (it starts the song and continues) ( not a vocal line at all) is conSPICuously similar to the The Batman Theme (from the other soundtrack) by Danny Elfman? anyone notice? (in a "melodic-shape kinda way (its a Five-Note figure) anyone?

Awesome.. I own it on tape and cd. Time to get it on itunes. This soundtrack rocks, the songs haven't aged. Perfection from a genius. Thanks.

Batdance, Trust, Partyman are all awsome!. i bought these 3 songs and and im a huge batman fan but not a prince fan. still, these songs are a riot and are kinda hysterical to listen to, but its just too cool and fits the joker character perfectly, hard not to dance or bob your head when listening to these songs, great songs from Batman! HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA, MONEY MONEY MONEY, WHO DO YA TRUST??

Prince and Batman- The Perfect Pair. I absolutely love this album!!! I danced to there song Batdance. It was so cool to make dance moves to all of the speeds and styles in that song! I also love watching the Batman movie and watching the parts the song comes up in. Or find the lines from the real characters in the movie! Overall, this album is awesome!

Ohhh, the memories...Classic. I can remember listening to this on my Walkman tape player, along w/ my "Ghostbusters 2" soundtrack as a little kid. Pure classic and brings back a lot of memories for me. "Arms of Orion" is much like a lot of song cheesey love songs that came out from about '83-'96. It's cheese-tasticly good. "Partyman" is great! One of my favorites on this album. I always picture the scene of the Joker and his gang distroying priceless pieces of art work. "Trust" is another great one on here which also brings up memories of the Batman movie. "Scandalous" is much like many of Prince's other sexually charged songs but if you're a fan of his then this will appeal to you. "Future" takes a little getting used to but eventually it kind of grows on you. "Electric Chair" is pretty good and very catchy. "Lemon Crush" is ok...kinda catchy but in that annoying sort of way. "Batdance" is another oddly enough cool song on this album which takes actual audio recording of scenes from the movie. I've never listened to "Vicki Waiting" all the way through; I usually would fast forward through that one. And,that is the jest of the album. I would only purchase the songs that invoke the most memories.

Breakthrough. Some may disagree, but this was a true breakthrough for Prince showing the industry the separation of his talent from other artist. His creativity from "The Future" to "Batdance" has seperated him from any Musician living or dead.........

This is decent Prince. If you don't think of it as a "Batman" album with Prince playing "Gemini" and all the silliness that went with it back in the day....you'll find a good Prince album. I just listened to this again after a long stretch of it collecting dust and it's got a lot of good funk in it. I prefer the rockin', shreddin' Prince stuff...and you get a bit of that here too.

This is the badiest soundtrack ever!!. Prince did a wonderful job on this

RIP Prince. Prince just passed away and now I'm downloading the soundtrack to remember him.

Why Explicit?. I'm not sure why the songs on this album are tagged "Explicit." There's no swearing on it. The lyric at the beginning of "Batdance" is "Get the FUNK up." Listen more closely, iTunes. Anyway, I like most of these, especially the ones featured prominently in the movie. "Vicki Waiting" is good too, and "The Arms of Orion" has Sheena Easton. Get this and don't be turned off by the erroneous parental advisory.

AWESOME. This album is a definite must have, not just for die-hard Prince fans, but rather for anyone who loves and appreciates GREAT music. Unfortunately, today the record companies give us more NOISE than great music. God Bless you ALWAYS, Prince Rogers Nelson. Thank you for sharing all of this BEAUTIFUL music with us.

Prince is Batman. Who else could do an original 80’s Batman soundtrack?? No body but Prince. Nuff said. The mans a legend. Electric chair gives me a smile every time I hear it. Partyman is the perfect Joker song! :)

Track 8. Not a huge Prince fan, but hearing Scandalous during the movie credits was awesome. That's the big track on this album. He did a pretty good job for the sound track. I think that's what made me like the movie more.

PARTY MAN! YEAH!. Totally missed this one... someone posted aan extended video version of Partyman that rocked my bat-cape out of here!

Party M-a-n. Just buy the album!

Prince, the genius!. Awesome songs from the best Batman ever done. Having Prince at the platine fit perfectly to the Personnality that represent the great Jack Nicholson starring as the Joker. You dont need your wall painted with blood in a dark durt Chamber with no lights for being a psycho... Jack Nicholson is , far away, the best performancer of the Joker. So enjoy, there's a new king in town !! ;)

Batman - the arms of orion. with the exception of the concluding synth piece, this is an excellent song. It reveals a whole other dimension to Prince's balladry, and the interplay between his voice and Sheena Easton's is wondrous. The phrasing and timing of their delivery gives the duet a delicate feel that most other singers miss as they compete rather than complement each other... Favourite interwoven moment... "God only knows where you are tonight" - ends one stanza and starts the next seamlessly.

prince. un des meilleur

Omg - so good. This entire album is great and I haven't even seen this batman movie! Electric chair is my favourite which scandalous close behind. Great Prince album!

Good songs. Great soundtrack . Prince is great❤️
