Original...ehhh. This remix... F*ck yeah.. I didn’t like the original all that much. I mean it’s ok and Jason Derulo is a great artist, but I’m a huge BTS fan and I like the fact that they can gain more recognition for working with a artist like Jason Derulo. Also I don’t understand why people are saying that BTS are horrible because their English is accented. They’re Korean. English is not a primary language except maybe in Seoul due to tourists. Elevation of the original. I’m seeing some reviews leaving 1⭐️ because they believe it’s awful and fans are only getting it because they like BTS? I completely disagree. Maybe it’s not to your taste but have you read the lyrics and tried to understand what they are saying? Especially the rap parts, they provide a deeper dive into love. It’s poetic. It elevated the simplicity of the original song by adding that one verse. Some also pointed out that this song became gender neutral. South Korea is a hugely conservative country and this little touch makes me think they are really considering their global and diverse fan base. To those complaining about how this is music “these days”, remember the Stones, Beatles and many bands were seen negatively with “crazy fans”. Older generations and some people hated the music, saying they preferred music in the “good ol’ days”: Do you consider them to have bad music? Maybe you too, one day, will look back on BTS’ success and realise how old-fashioned your tastes was, or maybe not. You’re free to have your own tastes. But, I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon. If their success angers you, please don’t listen to any new songs. Artists always try new things.
