WOW. I've been generally a hip-hop fanatic, but since the music have lost its feling ive been experimenting with new music that i have never listened to, and i must say that this music had me going all night, i love the mix and its very refresing to hear somthing like this without all the crap...i am new to the scene but hopefully i will be a regular to this guys perfectional work, and i did say perfectional not professional, he is a pro but, the perfection isnt easy...i Love it

I haven’t seen a dj who promotes.... ...his own mediocre music into a compilation of music that sounds far superior to someone who floats around all genres of music and produce probably the worst music in trance genre. Broken English is best for my explanation. Seriously, own 10 tracks out of 100+ YUCK

A State of sadness. If this mix doesn’t indicate to you the sad reality of trance music, I don’t know what will. But this is as far away from trance as it gets and it’s getting worse by the year. Today most of the producers have adopted most of the cheesy elements of EDM into their tracks now because it’s clearly all about the money and fame. The mixing itself is the only highlight to this mix, the content starts off with a bunch of vocalist singing some un-inspired lyrics with no clever thought to them. Then the mix traditionally progresses to the higher bpm range tunes that are “meh” at best. If you’re a fan of EDM or hard trance, this mix is for you. But I leave you with this: One of armin’s famous quotes is “never be a sucker to your own sound.” He clearly knows he’s a hypocrite to this if you go look at a youtube interview he did with Junkie XL. He clearly states that the trance music we know of is gone but he’s sticking with it. Armin will always be a legend in the trance world but as for his current content it’s a sinking ship and he knows it. But he’s going to milk that cash cow until the ship has sunken... Also like other companies Armada must have paid people putting up (Fake) reviews to keep the ratings up on their releases.

Where are the chapters/track splits?. The music is awesome as usual but the continuous DJ mix is 2 hours long with no track/chapter splits! How do we know what the track that we're loving is called at 1:28:36?

Really?!?. Armin please go back to your roots, this compilation is pretty awful. Been a super fan since 2002. Still clinging for hope.@arminvanbuuren

Fair album. Not sure whether to give this a three or four star (Edit: I'll definitely give this a three star, because I didn't consider the fact that the songs are all radio edit). The earlier songs on this album are poor and cheesy, the later songs are better, more energetic, and maybe more euphoric. Armin has moved from quality trance to cheesy, unpalatable, commercial pop house. No wonder Armin lost his status as #1 DJ. Martin Garrix is now #1. Martin may not be trance, but at least he stays true to his roots. Edit: Also, why are all the songs radio edit? Armin should go back to doing extended mixes and mix cuts. If Armin had stayed true to his roots and not moved to low-quality, cheesy, sell-out music, he might have remained #1 DJ. If Armin is to produce commercial pop to make money, he should make a side project. This album is not terrible, It's mixed. I like a mixture of electro house with trance. I'd like music that combines uplifting progressive trance, hard trance, and tech trance as well as electro house. I like diversity. If you want Armin true to his roots, get his side project Rising Star. Also get musicians like Paul Van Dyk, Talla 2XLC, and Sean Tyas. They stay true to trance. But I'd like >146bpm Euro hard trance. Why does Armin only produce <138bpm?

Looking forward to it!. Every year this man (Armin) puts together a great year mix! I look forward to hearing this years! Many of these tracks over got to hear live at shows so I’m excited!

Outstanding!. Fantastic Melodic, Vocal, and Hard Trance. The only thing is that some of the tracks in the mix are brief, but that's because the album has about 100 tracks to showcase the best of Trance of the year. Do not hesitate to get this. It's probably Armin's best album ever.

Trance Forever. Armin is the reference standard. No one mixes like he does. Another amazing collection of artists and music.

Disappointing. A lot of filler and not much killer. I usually prefer the mix at the end but too many songs mean you never really get into it. Plays better as individual songs

Too many tracks. We all know that Armin is the best in the business and in an avid trance fan but I didn’t enjoy this yearmix at all. There are so many tracks that each is only played for a minute or so, so you can’t actually enjoy any of the songs at all. It’s all a bit of a jumbled mess. Yes, Armin mixes them together really well, but when two or three are played simultaneously for such a short space of time, they are sometimes indistinguishable and often the best parts of the individual tracks are cut or absent completely. I would have much preferred a set of 20 to 30 tracks played at 4-5 mins each so that you can actually appreciate them. I’ve requested a refund.

Not Bad. do not like the intro & outdo bits on this album, the long 2hr cont mix is good most of the tunes are good but not the AVB of past year mixes
