I’m sorry.. This doesn’t cut it for me. His voice is definitely lost. His magic is gone.

All That Jazz. In case you didn't notice, Van Morrison has been doing Blues and Jazz his whole career. Even with Them, his arrangements of "It's All Over Now Baby Blue", "I Put a Spell On You", "Don't Look Back", and "Stormy Monday" showed hints of where he was going. " Astral Weeks" was very hard for young listeners to get, and "Moondance" was one of the first Jazz/Rock hits of that era. What some folks don't realize is that he plays sax, piano, harmonica, and lead guitar on a lot of songs. By the way, he wrote seven of the songs on this album, so it's not just a bunch of covers. Versatile is a normal step in his path.
