love this album. I don't get how anyone who actually loves music can hate on this album! First of all, if you're a real jazz fan, this albums swings like nobody's business! Marcus Miller did all those great albums with Miles Davis, but he went old school enough to get Wynton Marsalis on the album. These guys are are two of the greatest jazz artists today and this is the first time on record together. And that Langston Hughes poem that Jussie Smollet recites sounds like it could have been written last wek while watching CNN. And of course, the Andra Day/Common song is just incredible.

Marcus Miller is a music g-d. This music is beautiful and inspiring. MARSHALL is a must-see movie!!!

Powerful!!. This is powerful music - Marcus Miller's score is reminiscent of Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and Count Basie! I LOVE this!

A great hero but a poor soundtrack. Justice Marshall is one of America’s greatest heroes, and his legal victories change the country and made him a legend. Years ago an excellent movie called Separate But Equal told the story of one of his greatest court battles, Brown v. Board of Education. Today, story telling standards have slide backwards and what do we get? A movie that degrades a legend into a cartoonish and stereotypical character for the sake of making a buck at the theater that is accompanied by a ridiculous soundtrack. Justice Marshall deserves better, and the audience deserves a movie about this great man that inspires us, not some popcorn feature that passes the time. Hollywood needs to reflect upon its previous biographical films like Gandhi to remember how to make a movie about a historical figure that changed the world, with a soundtrack that inspires, not the mess that is this movie and album.

Inspirational and Emotional. I love the song “Stand up for Something” sung by Andra Day ( featuring Common ), as it the finishing touch to a pretty great movie. People will criticize it as playing to stereotypes or not being biographical. I like it because it shows us what Thurgood Marshall was like in his early career, before he argued Brown v. Board of Education (1954) in front of the Supreme Court or became a Supreme Court Justice.
