Nothin' but love for American Love!. I've been a Jake fan for a long time and I think American Love is his best effort to date. Unlike many of the reviewers on here(some reviews dating back MONTHS before the albums release...which is unfair to say the least), I've actually had time to listen to the album. I think it's a winner! Everybody Dies Young, If He Ain't Gonna Love You, and LAX are the three I'd encourage everyone to listen to. I love his older, more "country" albums but I can also appreciate that his newer albums are more of his style. He's a Florida boy, what do you expect?? I think the album is great and I can't wait to see what songs Jake decides to release as singles!(hopefully some of the songs I mentioned!! 😜)

Lame. Where did the country singer go? Pop music sellout now. Is what it is. Won't be paying for his music again..or live. Shame he's got a great voice

Horrific. Never written a review before on iTunes for any artist. I know every song and have every album you have ever recorded Jake and loved them all. Until now.. Tried too hard/over produced. why why why.

JAKES BEST CD YET!. I love this CD had to go buy the hard copy because I love to see the artwork, plus it has all the words to the songs. This is such great music I cant get enough!!

Disappointing. I love Jake Owen, and this album is such a disappointment. I became skeptical about this new album after hearing American Country Love Song a few months ago. That song definitely grew on me and I'm sure some of the songs on this album would if I listened to them more, but it just doesn't compare to Days of Gold. I wish he would stick to his country sound that suits him so well. This album has a mixture of different sounds and it just doesn't work. The only songs I like on this album are Everybody Dies Young, LAX, and American Country Love Song.

Love. Everything he does is gold. That is all.

Fire. I take back my last review, I love every single song. I have still not gotten tired of listening to the album and I get tired of music very fast! My top faves are LAX, Where I am, and You ain't goin nowhere:)

Vero Strong!. I bought the CD and I have to disagree with some of these previous posts! I am an absolute fan of #4 and #9 and of corse 11..... Jake is far from trying to be some other artist. When your as talented as he is your able to be diverse. Just take a few and listen to the words not just the tempo.

What happened?. Jake has totally changed his style and now you see his singles are failing on the charts and the albums aren't selling well. He needs to get back to the style of his first 3 albums and the success will return. Think of all the huge flops he's had as singles in the last few years. Days of Gold, Real Life, Good Company, etc. He Ain't Gonna Love You and What We Ain't Got were good songs but they didn't have the success they could have because Jake hasn't been stringing good singles together, so they get overlooked. I hope he gets back to the old Jake on the next album, because he's starting to fall out of popularity in country music.

Great songs. I love the songs in this album! Especially Good Company and American Love. Worth the buy

Country Music. People are complaining about "country music" yet have never even touched Johnny Horton, Hank Williams, or Tex Williams. This is a different style with more connections to rock'n'roll and the big band beginning of country music. Go listen to more Brad Paisley and let artists like Jake Owen and Eric Church play with the style of classic rock that they were raised on.

But these 3 songs. Do yourself a favor and only buy these 3 songs: 1. American Country Love Song 2. You Ain't Going Nowhere 3. Where I Am And you will be all set.

A musical must have!. After the song "real life" which was absolutely terrible, he made an epic comeback with this album. Wether it's the happy stuff like "good company" and "American love" or the slower stuff like "where i am" and "you ain't going nowhere" this album as a whole is absolutely awesome. Definitely worth buying the whole album.

For those haters. Over all good album not his best but good. As far as everyone giving this a bad review who cares if it's not what you say is country and that it doesn't sound like his old stuff. It's called new music for a reason hints the word "new". If you're a true fan enjoy what he comes out with.

bit of a let down. Man Jake I used to really enjoy you're music I just am absolutely not vibing this new album. I saw Owen at the houston rodeo and it was amazing, but i truthfully don't think I will listen to any of these songs a second time.

Favorite Album yet. I think the true mark of a great artist is one who can change up what they've done and put who they are in the forefront. I love every last song on this album!

VB, FLA Represent!. Jake's music reflects a vibe, sense of being some place. The rhythm of his songs set the mood, lyrics the context in his unique way of putting you in a place you can feel. For me that place is VB, FLA and it's all good. All right all right.

Pop TRASH. This is why every Texas country singer makes fun of Nashville singers. Y'all are making this trash that has no connection to real southern life. Texas country is the only way to go. Take this crap and send it to the pop stations.

sadly from days of gold to days of pot metal. Well, I was some how able to find one good song here. Remember the 'Days of Gold' album, I don't think it had a bad song on it.

Alright. Alrighty, so all in all, a very decent album. I really like "You Ain't Going Nowhere". Also, American Country Love Song is a given. They're all pretty average from there.

Jake, ur awsome and i was sooooo excited man...what happened to "Tell Me" "8 second ride" "Yee Haw" come on man...i was gonna buy it but i cant cause i dont like the songs...meaning is great but i cant get into the rhythm..maybe next album...Im still a fan of yours man. People need to relax and just enjoy his music. Sure this album isn't classic Jake Owen, but give him some credit for trying a new style, he killed it and I enjoyed every song on this album. This is an album worth listening too

Not for me anymore. You know it's bad when your voice changes, doesn't even sound like him. Slowly lost that accent album after album and now its just bad music.

A try lyricist. When people write from the heart and from experience it moves those who have walked the same line. Love this Jake Owen as much as his other songs, but this album moves me most because I am where he was, and there's nothing like the truth in lyrics and love 💔

Greatness after Hurt. After the couple years Jake Owen has been threw so much in his personal life and I believe this album was him trying to find himself! Thank you Jake for your beautiful voice and amazing songs❤️

Interested. Love if he ain't gonna love you but did you notice he copied Sam Hunt lyrics " Don't want to come on to strong but don't get me wrong". It disappoints me that he can't figure out his own lyrics.
