Buona Sera. Just an amazing band he had at that time. Listening to Into the Mystic, I can’t get over what talent Van has to pull all of the disparate pieces of the Caledonia Orchestra together and still exhibit such soul. Certainly, there are duplicate songs on the different volumes, but no two are performed or sound the same.

VM. Fan. I have the original recording that was released many years ago. Many consider it one of the seminal live recordings in rock history. Can't wait for the rest to finally be available. You will not be disappointed it will rock your world.

warmth. don't know where on the spectrum Van falls, but what he lacks in personality he more than makes up for in talent . One of the most important songwriters in Rock and Roll history.

If you liked the original you won't be disappointed. Fills a lot of gaps from volume 1 with versions of Moodance, and Brown Eyed Girl. The exhaustive song list gives you a real feel for the full range of material selected for the shows including songs by Hank Williams, Woodrow Buddy Johnson, and more songs from Willie Dixon. Listening to the other performances reminds the listener that the band was tight throughout and that Volume 1 was not a fluke with the best songs, but simply Van's choice at the time.
