The Four Seasons will never get old. I recently watched the Jersey Boys movie, and loved it. Ever since I've seen it, I can't get any of The Four Seasons’ songs out of head! I'm 20 and truly believe that this is what real music sounds like. They're all I want to listen to now. Definitely worth the money. Not one song is bad.

Was Shocked at Myself. After seeing Jersey Boys a million times and being a fan of The Four Seasons since forever, I was surprised to find that of the tens of thousands of digital songs I have, I only had ONE Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons song. Yeah, REALLY! I had to change that immediately. These 20 songs are a good representation of their catalog. A mega fan would certainly go with the huge box set but for now, this relieves the need to have this in my digital library. The harmonies. Gorgeous. Bob Gaudio knew how to write a hit and Bob Crewe knew how to produce a hit.

From day one………. ……I was hooked on the Four Seasons. Every new release was like a personal birthday present. To think I fell in love with their music when I was a teen, and now, at 70, I still understand and appreciate what set them apart from the rest of the pack. For those coplaining about the quality of the recording, keep in mind that Sherry, their first release in the '60s was monophonic and the technology couldn't hold a candle to today's recording gear and studios! Also consider that at that time, all records were mono and recorded on tape. Effects, particularly as we have today, paled in comparison, to the extent that they were virtually nonexistent. I think the only real effect back then was reverb! Today, in my home recording studios, I am able to do entire orchestral movie soundtracks on my Macs. A similar comparison can be made between the first vacuum tube computers that filled entire buildings to an iPod that fits in your pocket and is said to be more than a billion times more powerful. In other words, we come a very long way in a very short time.

Music for all seasons. This album is one of the best anthologies of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons you can find. If you are 40 or older, each song will connect with a memory of the 70's and 80's. For those in the younger crowd, the Four Seasons could be called a contemporary version of 1950's music - considering that is where their roots and inspiration come from. After you listen to the album the first time, you'll realize how little airplay they get...and what a shame that is. Be sure to check out the movie and live stage performances of Jersey Boys - great entertainment for the whole family.
