Nostalgia. I love BCB with a lot of the fervor that other fans have expressed. I have to say I was a tiny bit let down by Give Up the Ghost because, while the songs were good, they didn't quite for mesh together as an album for me. They also lacked those songs that express these poignant, bittersweet sentiments that they are just SO good at. This little valentine EP is exactly what the doctor ordered and I while I know they are exploring other musical directions, I miss these beautiful types of songs they made when they were more folky. Thanks for the V-Day treat, guys!

Huge fan (280 lbs) joking but serious. Very nice to listen to another collection of songs from this beautiful and talented soul. As usual, any harsh tones, lyrically and musically, that may actually cause spiritual damage (that are frequently presented on recordings by other current artists) are are absent from this EP. Only thing here is pure good vibes and love/ soul fuel. Don't miss this.

Wow someone new. Was searching another singer/songwriter and found Brandi Carlile. She is like a breath of fresh, clean air, like after a rain. I feel like I've found a wonderfully beautiful new sound,yet like something I have always heard. I only hope she keeps the music coming... ROCK ON!!!!!!!

In Person for the First Time. My daughter and I saw her live for the first time in West Long Branch, NJ, this past weekend (we're from central PA, so we drove more than four hours). We were thoroughly entertained. Brandi did a great job connecting with the crowd, and her voice and the band were right on, better than I imagined a live performance would be. She did a sing-along, a few a cappella pieces, Folsom Prison Blues and a Beatles song (I think it was Let It Be), and was friendly and funny to the audience. I'd go much, much farther away to see her again. This album is like a nice present after our experience last weekend. It doesn't disappoint at all, much like each and every other work of this great artist.
