singer/song writer. k.d. is talented, no doubt about that. watershed is another highlight of her career!!! i highly recomment this new recording.

Not for me. Well, she is not for me. I am sure that some people like her. That is all well and good. But I do not like her music. Not for me.

Up with k.d.'s best. But com'on Apple. $14.99 for the cd, plus some bonus live stuff? At 128 kbps? You know... and more iTunes buyers know ... that the same CD (minus the live bonus tracks) can be automatically downloaded into my iTunes library -- cover art and all -- for only $8.99 at Amazon. You also know that that $8.99 buys you much improved 256 kbps sound quality. You don't have a captive MP3 market anymore so it's time to change your iTunes pricing model.

C'mon, it's the SAME THING over and over again!. I have been a fan for many years, and I own all but one of her other albums. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this one. k.d. would benefit from getting a new band and expanding her musical horizons and sound. There is virtually nothing about these minor key, down-tempo songs to distinguish them from any of the offerings on her other albums in the last 15 years. It's the same sound, same instruments, and same dreary mood that has permeated everything she's done since "Constant Craving". k.d., I love you, but honestly, sister, let's break some new ground next time.

The breadth of k. d.'s range and the emotional depth of this album is beyond words.... The album is beautiful! I also had the pleasure of seeing k. d. perform many of these lovely songs in concert in Kingston, NY. Don't miss the opportunity to see her in concert. You will be amazed. Perfection. Ah, kd! Thankyou. This is beauty in the form of a perfect voice and lovely tunes.

Wrong turn. A watershed is meant to be a turning point. Unfortunately this is a very mellow turn. Artistically flawless, but overall the album is dull. Nice songs sung beautifully, but they blur into mediocrity. Oh, I long for some soaring kd vocals from her pre-watershed days.

K.D only improves with the the passage of time. Her rendition of Halellujah is enough to bring a tear to a glass eye. Spectacular performance. Peerless. And with such humility that you just love her even more. Wow!
