Almost bought. The song, Daddy DONT get drunk this Christmas, comes too close to home, so I won’t add this album to my library. I’ll buy some of the songs individually though as I really Akan Jackson.
So good, The Decembrists made a cover of one of the songs.. I love the CD, but I was surprised to see that the Decembrists made a cover of "Please Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)." Both Alan Jackson's and The Decembrists sound great. This album (Alan Jackson's) is an awesome album. I love his version of "Holly Jolly Christmas." It still makes me feel cozy.
Best of the Rest. Whenever I listen to this album, I always know it's Christmas. It has a quality that warms your heart and makes you think of family, friends, and home. My favorite track is "Santa's Gonna Come in a Pickup Truck" with Alvin and the Chipmuncks, just because it's so hilarious. This album has been a family favorite since before I was even born. If you ever buy a christmas album, this is THE one to get. You wont regret your purchase. Just listen to the songs once, and you'll be hooked.
Alan Jackson/Honky Tonk Christmas. It made me so happy, thank you.
great. my favorite is Sants Comming In A Pickup Tuck becuse i live in south GA and when i was little i did not know how santa came down here where there is no snow so my mom would say he comes in a pickup truck and then play this song
