One of his best. This is a classic.i recently listen to this all the way through.almost 26 years when it was released.it has stood the test of time.there are 2 songs Bruce left off this album lucky man and two for the road.he should have put them on the album.the album digs deep into relationships which I think every couple goes through.happy and sad and Bruce ask the questions and ponders the future.one of his most underrated works in music.

His Best. Tunnel of Love was his best in my opinion for all around music and lyrics. I know many will disagre, but for me, in my youth in was his best and will always be!

For me it’s his Best. Time passes yet i consistently drift backwards to this gem. Ages well plus every song happens to be solid. Am I a Bruce fan? Meh, so so but “Tunnel of Love” is a special album. “Tougher Than the Rest” “Title Track” “All that Heaven Will Allow” lead the charge.

Hauntingly Superb. By far and away one of the most personal albums ever penned by The Boss, and as a result, maybe his best, along with Born To Run. Although not as commercially successful as others, I believe that among those of the fringe of being a Springsteen loyalist, this album is like a fine wine, growing more respected and valuable over time.

One of Springsteen's great albums. I have come to enjoy this album more as time passes; Some of the songs have taken on new meaning. "Walk Like a Man" was always a great song to me. But since my wonderful father has passed away (a "Jersey Boy in Exile"), I get misty when I here the song. The rest of the album is excellent.

Better with time. I bought this album when it was released and though it was just OK. As a Springsteen fan it is a must have...some of the work is influenced by his first wife and it showed at the time...as the years have gone, this album has got better...some highlights include the single "Brilliant Disguise", "Cautious Man" and "Two Faces". Get it

One of the biggest surprises ever for me.. There are no doubt thousands of music reviews for Springsteen on the net, and most would no doubt glorify his masterpieces like Born to Run, Darkness, USA, Nebraska and so on. Yet as a huge Springsteen fan, I was shocked when I looked at my 'Top 25 most played' and found that 'Two Faces' and 'Brilliant Disguise' were number 1 and 2 respectively; this then made me realise just how beautiful and masterful this collection of undervalued songs truly are. If you love the dark (and arguably morbid) undertones that radiate from Darkness, The River, Nebraska and USA, then you will absolutely be hooked by Tunnel of Love.

❤️❤️❤️. 💜💗💜 such an amazing album. Bruce Springsteen never seizes to disappoint

Great !!. Tougher Than the Rest has such a lovely sound! My favourite song! 💕👌🏼

There is a case to be made that this is his finest record. I have never read a review anywhere I don't think which states this is his finest album. It is the one I have come back to the most though and my favourite one. Born To Run and Darkness On The Edge Of Town (not The Promise), masterpieces that they are, have a young man's vision one grows out of rather than into. Born In The USA, despite containing many charting hits internationally, is so very commercial - kind of like a whole album full of songs like Hungry Heart. The River is a terrific song and forshadows the country music influences all over this one - the rest of the album is pretty ordinary though, Point Blank being a notable exception. Nebraska? An interesting idea. Very dark, gothic dark even. The opening song could be one alluded to in Dylan's autobiography as the type of song he wouldn't want to write - one from a killer's viewpoint. A demo album too, albeit a demo by The Boss. Everything before Born To Run is leading up to it more or less. Everything after Tunnel Of Love builds on what he had solidified here first. The synthesizers are the only 80's dated aspect to this acoustic based sounding album. Not all the songs are up there with his best but the spirituality of a song such as the closer contains, I feel, the essence of the man's soulfulness in sound. I'm biased, can't help but be, because when Brilliant Disguise was playing on New Zealand's music video programs it was around the same time that John Hiatt's Slow Turning was being played. Those two songs, plus a few others, opened up a world of rootsy sounding music unheard in popular song for a long time. The country was drowning in a sea of wussy music called New Romanticism or Synth Pop. What was worse than the sound was that the songs of the day had no meaning to them which went beyond material relationships between people and things - the 1980s - Yuck!! This album was real! Still is.
