I don’t understand where all the dislike is coming from.. I love how lyrical the music is. Every beat brings with it new meaning. Something that you can listen to over and over, slowly getting the grasp of its meaning, while also being able to have the simple joy of listening to the way the music ebbs itself into the next stanza. The kind of music I would describe as poetic. The instrumentation and melody are always new and interesting. The first time I listened to “When we all fall asleep where do we go?” I was entranced, stolen away to a place where I felt vulnerable. This was the first time in years I had gotten to feel that way, and I had a wonderful experience taking a step back, and getting to understand myself a bit better. I couldn’t have been in that position without the immense amount of melodic understanding there was at play. Care was put into those songs. Finally, and I don’t understand the controversy over this, but Billie’s voice is a love letter to the style. Without a quality set of headphones or other audio equipment, it may be difficult to understand, but the sound of her voice in your ear is hauntingly beautiful. And it seems to speak directly to you, and then all the way through you. I also personally enjoy the whisper, especially in a field where that’s not really done. A shout is for many, a conversational voice is for a few, but a whisper? She’s talking to you. Billie and Finneas’ music feels personal. The only criticism I have is for the fan base. There’s no need for the hate and dramatics that goes on over there.

So talented.. This album is probably a little slow and sad for my every day kinda mood but it’s so apparent she’s wildly talented. Love that this album took a chance and went for a totally different vibe than the last.

Pathetic!. Album titled titled "Happier Than Ever" well she certainly doesn't look happy. a pathetic and depressing album. Overrated and overhyped!!!!! Suggest you take a LONG LONG HIATUS
