Chevelle’s worst album. The bad: Well, this is most certainly a concept album. Verruckt is an instrumental. Sleep the Deep, instrumental. Vvurmhole, instrumental (almost not even that). Test Test, Enough, basically an instrumental. And the first part of Lost in Digital Woods is just a spoken word poem, and the second part is white noise. This album is just kind of a lot of noise, and not much else. That’s what I took from it. Yes, there are still songs with Pete singing from start to finish. It’s just when I finished this album, after the fourth listen, all I took from it was a lot of noise and kind of a letdown. The good: Mars Simula is the best song on the album. Remember When and Ghost & Razor are standouts. They save this from being a complete dud. Bottom line: Very disappointed with this album. While not an awful album, it’s by far the worst from Chevelle. And I’m apparently the minority here.

One of their best albums yet. Quick background: I’ve been a Chevelle fan for like 16 years or something. This NIRATIAS is probably one of their best - if not *the* best - album they’ve done so far, seeing as how Chevelle has just now found their true sound, evolving and maturing instrumentally and as musicians in general. It’s like a very melodic “The North Corridor” with heavy “Wonder What’s Next” elements. In other words, this is one of their *heaviest* and *most melodic* albums yet. In still other words, this could be one of the *best*, most well-rounded and meaty albums they’ve done yet. Chevelle is just getting started.

Can’t stop listening.. They get a pass for taking so long to come out with new material because this is the best album they have ever done! I have listened to it nonstop since the day it came out and I can’t stop! Absolutely amazing!

Best work. I have been a long time Chevelle fan and they always put out consistently good albums but this one? By far their best album. It hits so hard. It’s been on repeat in my truck since the day it came out and I am not even close to sick of it.
