I’m so embarrassed reading these stupid “reviews”. The future of the world is so disappointing right now. Society is unoriginal and shallow and only echos social media trendiness. I see dozens of “reviews” claiming “ableism.” You know that they don’t even know what that means. They all sound like parrots just repeating what they’ve heard. What is this, a witch hunt? Stop being lazy; use your brain and have a mind of your own. It’s so damaging and I hate that people don’t care.

Love Sia. The cries of ableism need to stop. Look up the definition. There is no bad intent on her part. Maybe she didn't do everything perfectly, but she's not the only one that worked on the film and she had guidance. I learned a lot about autism (when Leslie Odom Jr explained certain traits) and I've read many reviews from autistic people and those who know severely autistic people like the one portrayed by Maddie and they felt "seen" and that it was accurate. So then... who am I suppose to believe? The people on here crying foul who haven't seen the film? Or those that have? I'm honestly perplexed. And while we're at it, Kate Hudson isn't an addict and that's a disease. Why is no one up in arms about her being hired? Hiring an autistic person at the level of the character in the film would have been irresponsible. It's a fictional movie, not a documentary. Besides, the role called for Maddie to play severely autistic, and also sing and dance. That would have been impossible. There's a wonderful site by a non-verbal autistic young man who openly talks about the character Maddie plays and enlightens those who don't know much about the condition. He presents a loving informative view knowing full well the movie brings more discussion to autism and also with the understanding there was no ill-intent by Sia or anyone involved.

Great Soundtrack. I enjoy most of Sia's work....this is a good collection...I saw the movie and it wasn't bad...after viewing the criticism I was expecting something awful, but the trolls are out, and musically and dramatically Music was sound. I have disabilities, and worked/lived with those with autism, and didn't feel threatened by the interpretation.

Not the best. I do not agree with the movie at all. Using a non-autistic actor to play the role was just wrong and I think that Sia herself is extremely ableist. Although, the soundtrack itself is not too bad
