Without You by David Bowie Song Lyrics
(Bowie)
Just when I'm ready to throw in my hand
Just when the best things in life
are gone
I look into my eyes
There's no smoke without fire
You're exactly who I want to be with
Without you
What could I do
And when I'm willing to call it a day
Just when I won't take another chance
I hold your hand
There's no smoke without fire
Woman I love you
Without yo

Credit to Stevie and Nile. Stevie Ray Vaughan’s guitar work and Nile Rodgers’ production skills helped to propel Bowie back to the top on this 80s classic. Bowie played no instrument and only provided the vocals.
Bowie’s best album. He later disowned it because it was too commercial and not intellectual enough, he was trying to be smarter than he really was. The only Album that made sense to me.
Forty years on, still an absolute classic…. This was it. This was the breakthrough album, certainly in terms of popularity. It flipped the previous decade of Bowie’s astonishing, non-stop experimentation on its head. With Nile Rodgers and Bob Clearmountain in the control room at New York’s The Power Station, a bastion of hitmaking, alternating Tony Thompson or Omar Hakim on drums, and tossing in a then little known (outside of Texas) guitarist named Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bowie took his dormant R&B and pop sensibilities to an extraordinary new level, landing him on the cover of “Time” magazine, and leading to a sold-out world tour to follow. The rest of the decade may have been a slow creative decline until another resurgence in the ‘90s, but this… this was a zenith for the MTV decade.
Let’s Dance. This album is the apex of Bowie’s career. It’s his crescendo. No other artist’s music more singularly defines the 80’s. RIP David Bowie RIP SRV.
