Never disappointed. Flylo always continues to be unique in his masterpieces. 😎😎😎😎

Months later.... Never catch me is still probably my favorite song, listen to it almost daily

Yoioooooo. This is a pretty good album.

Best album of 2014!. This is seriously one the best albums of all time to me. The musical concept of life and death in this album is really the whole point of the album. The album itself is intense, experimental, and yet easy to listen to. Favorite tracks are “Theme”, “Tesla”, “Never Ever Catch Me”, and “Coronus the Terminator."

11/10. Out of this world album, Flylo's really hit his masterpiece with this one

thank you for being an instrument of music. Flying Lotus changed my life.

Bought The Whole Album. My Favorite Works Of Steven Ellison Yet, Also Introduced Me The Thundercat :), But This Is One Of My Favorite Albums With An Awesome Wave And Melophobia

Genius.. All I can say about Flylo, is that he is a musical genius. Everything on this album is beautiful, and it really showcases how much talent this man has. He really will be my number one favorite artist of all time, because he is just simply a blessing to the music industry. I love him, and his music! I'm anticipating his next album, which most likely will be on another tier of amazing-ness once again.

Flylo. I can't wait for this to drop. I've been a fan of Flylo Music Since the beginning of 2013. Doesn't seem that long but I have to say I'm so obsessed with Flylo's work. I'm happy to also see that Flylo has a Track with Snoop Dogg/Snoop Lion

Black boy Flylo. Kendrick killed this beat & the ending is great

Stop crying. The theme may be death but the album is good

Wow. Genius comes to mind. There is no comparison to Flying Lotus' masterstroke's of creativity.

Raising the bar.. A bright hit—violins stir, synths weave, harmonies swirl and grow— and suddenly an enormous aural explosion, Rhodes chords blast in, drums hit, and you know this is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. Listening to this album for the first time, I could not believe my ears. Yes, I was a big fan of producer/ rapper/ genius Steve Ellison (aka Flying Lotus), and had loved albums like Until The Quiet Comes and Cosmogramma (not to mention the stellar Ideas, Drafts, and Loops), but You’re Dead is truly in a class by itself, for Ellison and modern music in general. As a fan of jazz, hip-hop, and rock, this album was incredible. Though I had been waiting for several months as new information stirred in the works about the elusive Ellison’s 5th album, nothing could have prepared me for this. You’re Dead! is a mind-bending exploration into the concept of humanity, death, and what it means to be alive. Listening to this album will alter your perceptions on music itself and the world around you. Tracks like “The Boys Who Died in Their Sleep” and “Descent Into Madness” portray vivid, melancholy, almost Kafka-esque images in the listener’s mind. We are also honored to be in the presence of jazz lensed Herbie Hancock, who helps us through this fantastic journey with his familiar Rhodes piano brilliance. Justin Brown delights with outstanding brushwork, and Thundercat brings his usual outstanding bassmanship on top of it all. And stay tuned for Snoop— I was blown out of my seat when he broke into a lush verse. All I can say is, buy this album. You’ll be glad you did, considering it will become a classic in music history. A mind-bending 38-minute journey into the grotesque and beautiful, You’re Dead is a modern Dark Side of the Moon. And I don’t throw that around lightly.

Youre Dead. Flying Lotus ok

Zoned out biodigital jazz. Zoned out biodigital jazz

I sat listening to this pondering the weirdest. I sat and thought my life for hella long. I’m new to Flying Lotus thanks to Earl Sweatshirt but this is a album that has to grow on me

Best Album of 2014. So much yes!

Beyond amazing. This album is everything that I hoped for and more. From the beginning to end, this LP is a roller coaster ride of joy

Prepare to be Reborn. Another indescribable masterpiece. This item is priceless.

Hyped. Hope it's as good or even better than the last album!!

Incandescent. Really interesting album!

Flylo the psychedelic god. Already pre-ordered the album and attending his concert in Chapel Hill, Cats Cradle, NC. Flylo is and amazing and extremely unique artist who deserves way more recognition. Duality is other worldly.

The Recordation of Miles Davis. A jazz fusion masterpiece!!

Flying Lotus Does It Again: A Modern Classic. As a Flying Lotus fan, I had high hopes for this album. It wasn't quite what I expected, but I am certainly happy with what I got. It's definitely a lot more lively than the moody Until The Quiet Comes; I personally enjoy UTQC more, but You're Dead blends hip-hop and electronic ideas with well-executed jazz in a way that sounds just like the way the album cover looks: frenetic, pulsing, complex, and brilliant. The album definitely clocks in at a shorter length than FlyLo's past few LPs, but it does deliver. Not to say that the album does not have its weak moments; "Dead Man's Tetris," for example, is a Snoop Dogg collaboration that falls short on its premise. The song also kills the vibe, at least for me, as it comes right after the centerpiece of the album, "Never Catch Me," featuring Kendrick Lamar. The album picks up the pace once more with "Turkey Dog Coma." Most collaborations in general work well, however, and Flying Lotus brings a lot of talent overall. I thought of the album as his early LP, Los Angeles, done with the jazz finesse that he acquired over the years of making Cosmogramma and UTQC, along with some more complex ideas. I will be seeing him live at Terminal 5 in New York in less than a week; if his live shows are anything like his albums, I am in for an experience of a lifetime.

grows on you. the first time i heard it i thought it sucked the second time i thought it was ok the third time i thought it was the best thing i’ve ever heard give it time and it’ll blow your mind

So awesome. I totally loved this! It's definitely one of those albums that is meant to be listened to from beginning to end. Story like.

flylo. Didn’t really like it. Although a huge FlyLo fan with his previous work. I just am not into the whole jazz fusion thing. No real standout tracks here. I’m pretty disappointed because I was really looking forward to this record. Will give it some more time to grow on me…but I doubt it.

This is Jazz for the ADD Generation. And I mean that in the best possible way. Mixing in plenty of hip-hop and IDM, Flying Lotus captures the complexity and dissonance of jazz music without alienating the modern listener. You won’t find any twenty-minute jams on this record; instead FlyLo (and his talented cast of guest musicians) give you 1 to 2 minute bursts of inspiration that capture the free-form spirit of jazz music without overstaying their welcome. It’s a hectic, futuristic, and varied listen that all fits together thanks to Flying Lotus’s unparalleled ear for texture. Every song bears the stamp of his singular sound palette, making the record both cohesive and satisfying even during its most outré moments.

Never Catch Me. Awesome video to this track. Thank you

Unique Style. Flying Lotus returns with his unique style. From the music he created to something beyond that. He does not disappoint in this album.

Fantastic. All-around great album. Happy to support one of my favorite artists. Keep it up flylo!
