"1, 2, 3, 4!!! We got to patch it up, baby!". I used to listen to this album alot in the 70's. It's the soundtrack from his next to last movie. It's mostly adult contemporary, MOR stuff. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is excellent, but it's actually a studio cut with overdubbed applause at the end. It was released in 1970 and when to #21 on album chart, and sold 500,000 copies to make it another gold record. Best song: Patch It Up (written by same writer of "Kentucky Rain" Eddie Rabbitt) the 45rpm version and "Take 1" are both better than LIVE version.

Great "post-movie" Elvis. This caught the King after his 60s film contracts and before the 70s jumpsuits became his standard. There's a lot of great music here, a lot of covers which became his norm and a bit too many "inside jokes" from the stage with the band and as a listener get a bit tedious but all in all this shows Elvis opening another door in his career where Cover songs and Vegas dinner shows became the standard from Elvis.
