A must. Ok ok ok I can't take it anymore, I confess, I'm gonna pour out my heart and soul now: I LOVE THIS ALBUM, pure 80s joy bouncy pop songs, true blue song makes me cry for the joy of love, live to tell just breathtaking the way the song paces itself.

The Best of Her 80's Albums. Wow. This is the best album of Madonna's career. While still mainstream pop, it no longer feels bubblegum. This must have been a big step for Madonna. Probably her most mature album during the 80's. Live to Tell has got to be my favorite song off this album, with also it being my favorite Madonna song altogether.

I love love this album ;). This album is just fantastic....

Best Madonna Album!!!. This album TRUE BLUE is by far her best album yet!!!! Released in 1986 when I was 9 years old it brings back very endearing memories!!! Madonna is and always will be my favorite icon!!!!! Can't wait for the new album in the spring of 2012!!!!

True Blue. This is Madonna at her best. She was completely untouchable by 1986 and in some ways could do no wrong. This album talks about Madonna’s visions of love, dreams, hopes, and disappointments. Inspired by her then husband Sean Penn. This is the album that made her Madonna the superstar and global icon and has aged gracefully.

Boring.. No exciting content.

Absolutely Amazing. Its freaking Madonna she is SO sexy she is the Goddess of POP and ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True Blue speaks to Madonna fans and the entire 1980's generation. This Madonna classic featured more top 10, top 5, and #1 songs than any other Madonna album. It also propelled her into legendary status and stadium tours. It is among the most diverse and pop-friendly collections with some of her best singles: the #1 lead-off ballad Live to Tell, the legendary Papa Don't Preach (#1) that showed off her now legendary platinum blonde hair with the artistic controversial video that became her signature, the fun sing-a-long True Blue (#3), the #1 dance classic and yet another controversial video, and the Spanish-flavored classic La Isla Bonita (#3). A five-star album by the one-and-only Madonna: True Blue is a must-own for all fans of 1980s music!

O P E N Y O U R H E A R T. GREAT song and video.....one of her best songs.

classic. WOWWWW THIS ALBUM IS CLASSIC !!! SO MANY GREAT MEMORABLE SONGS THAT TO THIS DAY PLAY HERE AND THERE SOMEWHERE !! UNFORTUNATELY SHE DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE !!! NOW IT'S …… I' M 53 AND I AM A GIRL GONE WILD !!! REALLY ? WELL NOTHING WILL COMPARE TO HER AWESOME 80'S AND 90'S HITS. THIS ALBUM BEING DEFINITELY ONE OF HER GREAT ONES !!!

Download a whole album just to get one track? I don't think so!. You people expect me to download an entire album that I already have on CD just to get the one extended version of "La Isla Bonita". I don't think so! It would be nice to have that track, but I'm not downloading 10 other songs just to get it. Sorry. Offer it separately and then maybe I'll purchase it.

30 millions of copies and counting. Woow

Amazing. Every song on this album is wonderful love it love it love it!

great!. la isla bonita and true blue are the best from this album

White Heat. One of the most underrated madonna songs out there. BUY IT - you will love it.

MASTERPIECE. This is one of her BEST albums! Juicy Pop!!!! No need to argue... Full Stop

Childhood Memories. I remeber blasting this Vinyl.. Yes Vinyl. I use to dance infront of the mirror just like that lil boy in the Open Your Heart Video. I was just 8 years old and and my mother then knew HE's GAY. anyway this is one of my favorite pop albums of all time. No wonder it made it on the top 500 albums of all time by Rolling Stone Mag...

awesome album. great songs,great album!

Her best album 👌🏻💯. When you think of Madonna, the first song that pops out is Material Girl or Like A Virgin. Today people regard her as a hackneyed 80s pop star. Madonna is not given credit anymore for her influence on every single female artist today. This album, this particular album SHOWS EXACTLY WHY MADONNA IS THE QUEEN OF POP. It's so different and not seen today. Where do you hear songs like "La Isla Bonita" or "Papa don't preach" today? Her songs hold truth behind the upbeat and catchy tempo. 95% of female artists today are Madonna wannabes. Even Queen B used her as an inspiration. She's the true and original queen of pop culture.

Live to Tell. Live to Tell in my opinion is Madonna's swan song. Her best work. I have never been a huge fan, though I recognize that she cut the path for many of the divas to follow her and I have nothing but respect for her as an artist. Live to Tell is one of those songs that goes beyond whatever level it may have reached or not reached in the charts; it goes beyond any reckoning of monetary gain; on a deeper level it's the kind of game-changer in an artist's career that has the power to establish a Core of Intent, an unshakable Base of Heart; a Hub, if you will, that reaches both forward and back and colors the listener's perception of everything the artist has already recorded or will ever record. It brings an understanding of accomplishment and a sense of place and time and a reason to forgive the missteps and be moved by the moments of perfection. It validates the quest and gives meaning to a Body of Work. It gives the artist the "legs" to stand the test of time. Live to Tell is That Song for Madonna!

By far the best album from Madonna. Hearing the songs bring back what it was to grow up in the 80s. I even have the album cover as a canvas print in my home. So many hits but La Isla Bonita and True Blue are my personal favorites.

One of the best pop albums ever. Maybe I'm biased but ray of light and true blue are two of the best pop albums ever. Or maybe it's because this came out at a bad time in my life...memories!

Great. All the singles are great the rest is filler but definitely one of my favorite albums

the real madonna. the best madonna album ever

Underrated song. This song has such a positive vibe to it. This latin infused song has a great message and it's one of those songs that I'm sort of glad nobody knows or even thinks about.

ANOTHER ONE OF HER GREATS. Pop masterpiece WHITE HEAT, LIVE TO TELL, PAPA, TRUE BLUE💙

Her best album.... PERIOD!

Best Old Madonna album. In my opinion I think this is one of Madonna’s best albums. I mean I like a lot of her albums but this is one of those I Don’t Need To Skip A Song album.

great. this album is why we LOVE Madonna

Classic. I love Madonna and I have loved her since everybody!!!! My favorite papa don’t preach (I know it’s a classic but I still love it) she is a queen

The Soundtrack to My Youth. I have loved this album since it came out. I first thought “Who is this lady?” “where are her bracelets?” when she debuted this new look. I had no idea I would witness many more reinventions in my lifetime. 🤣. The best songs according to me are: Papa Dont Preach Where’s the Party La Isla Bonita Open Your Heart Live to Tell

Open your heart. Awesome😻

One Of The Best Madonna Albums Of All-Time. True Blue the best Madonna Album next to Like A Virgin. I have always been a really big Madonna fan and after wearing out 2 or three cassetes of "Madonna" and "Like A Virgin" I was so exciteed when she released True Blue, and of course I wore out a couple of True Blue Tapes Too. I Would Rate True Blue #2 of her Best Albums.

True Blue. Despite all of the controversy that constantly swirls around Madonna, I still can't deny her talents. At first glance, one might think that this is another sugary 80's pop album. But dig deeper, and you'll find the passion which Madonna puts into her music, and that in itself makes the songs more enjoyable. This album is highly listenable and was released around the time where Madonna was still getting early recognition and making a name for herself. This is probably one of my favorites, because the whole album is only 11 songs, so it's short and sweet. It is just a very carefree record and it's very hard not to love it!

True Blue_♥. Damn, some of the best songs by Madonna ever. Favorites: - Papa Don't Preach - Open Your Heart - Live to Tell - True Blue - La Isla Bonita - Love Makes the World Go Round

La Isla Bonita. Such a nice and beautiful song. Buy Track 7. You goin' to like it.

A Masterpiece, Never Gets Old. This is one of my ultimate favorite albums ever, every song is amazing. The sound really reflects the decade in which it was recorded, and I can't get enough. I listen to this to take me back to 1980s, it never fails. "Live to Tell" is such a powerful song, I have to restrain myself from listening to it too often, it's one of my absolute top favorite songs. Overall this is a must have album, buy it if you want amazingly great and meaningful music. Also, I am a guy, I mostly like rock/classic rock, so this goes to show you how much respect I have for genuine artists like Madonna.

+SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!!! "MADONNA" ,YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!. +SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!!! "MADONNA" ,YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!

Live to tell. This has got to be one of my favorite madonna songs of all time (live to tell). so heart felt and full of emotions. its beautiful. overall this whole album is terrific and personally my all time favorite madonna album. this album has sooo many upbeat, fun songs so dance to with latin flavor added to it. great album and well worth the purchase!

Brilliant. Madonna proved as she always does that her crown and title of Queen is more than just earned it’s deserved. True Blue was is and will remain pop perfection and nothing short of genius

True Blue Classic. This is the album where Madonna cemented her hold on pop and US culture in general. Five of the nine tracks were released as singles. All of them made the top 5. Three went #1. In short it was a massive smash. A gleaming success that hasn't lost a bit of it's shine 30 years on.

I absolutely love all the hits. I- words cannot express how much I luv this album

her bestselling studio album. this has some of her best songs ever! every song is amazing. but the standout is live to tell!!

I’m glad I started listening to her. Quarantine has given me a lot of time to listen to different artists. I’m 18 and I haven’t listened to a lot of madonnas music before until now and I’m glad I did. She’s an amazing artist. So creative and talented you don’t see people like her anymore. She’s truly one of a kind and this album is so much fun.

Papa don't preach #1. Papa don't preach is the absolute best! My favorite song from the whole album!

REALLY CHIC. SHE TOTALLY RE-INVENTED HERSELF ON THIS ONE 2.

Make America Great Again. A man can tell 1000 lies but apparently she’s not learned her lesson well as a matter of fact she hasn’t learned her lesson at all

YAS. fav album by Madonna by FAR

Amazing!. While "Like A Prayer" remains my all-time favorite Madonna album, her hit album "True Blue" is a close second. The hit single "Open Your Heart" is one of my favorite songs of all time! She also takes on a Latin sound with the beautiful "La Isla Bonita." Madonna became a musical icon in the 80's and easily remains one of my favorite artists!

The album where you can really hear Madonna's vocal growth. Not every song on this album is a gem. But Papa Don't Preach, Live to Tell and La Isla Bonita are haunting, timeless and show that Madonna was starting to really take her singing seriously. It is obvious here that she had taken voice lessons since doing Like A Virgin. For those songs alone, I have to rate this four stars.

True Pop. If Madonna wasn’t already a household name, this album would’ve made her one. It had five huge hits on it, all making the top-5, and they are also amongst her most memorable singles. They are of course, “Live To Tell”, “Papa Don’t Preach”, the title cut, “Open Your Heart”, and “La Isla Bonita. I think this is an example of an album where the singles outshine the album tracks, because while the album tracks are not bad (“Where’s The Party”, being my favorite of them), they just don’t live up to the singles. But overall, a very fun poppy album. The bonus remixes of the title cut and “La Isla Bonita” are also great!

Best of 80’s. Love in 2020! Much have.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

A Real Album. I purchased 2 copies of this Album (Vynile) I've abused it too much back in the 80's. This is the Third Album coming from Madonna. This was Excellent work. A must Have. On iTunes they included the extended version of La Isla bonita which is a treat.

live to tell. i bought live to tell and i thought it was a great song madonna is one of my all time favorite artists the first time i heard her was when my Aunt was playing ray of light and i got hooked

What can you say. What really can you say about a Queen. Always was and always will be on top of her game. Pure genius. Long live the Queen

Timeless. Released 33 years ago and still great to listen to. Love Madonna but can’t imagine that being said about the Madame x album in the future.

Classic Madonna. Easily one of Madonna's greatest and most iconic albums. 80's Madonna never fails to disappoint. Highlights include Papa Don't Preach, Live To Tell, Open Your Heart and True Blue. Queen of Pop!

Great!!!!. I love White Heat it's so underrated! Another jewel in madonnas crown.

OKAY FOR A POP RECORD. I've never been a fan of Madonna and I don't listen to pop music except for Michael Jackson, Gaga and Adam Lambert but there are some pretty good tracks on this album.

Good. Good

Queen of pop. Superb slice of 80s pop

The album made Madonna a queen of pop. This's still my favourite Madonna album until now.

Legends! This album is a 20 stars!. I love you Madonna!!!

💙💙💙. Love!

What an era. No filler here. Not a single bad track. Magic times. The days when she looked seriously hot and everything, musically she touched turned to gold. The sound and artwork are still extremely contemporary. Perhaps the only thing that dates this album is the 80's top tapping hook and melody that never lets go. Since then we have settled for style over substance. Here it's all substance. Looking to start an earlier Madonna catalogue, then start here. Featuring her classic ballad Live To Tell, which still resonates and is powerful and haunting today as well as many other number ones such as Open Your Heart- a career highlight and Papa Don't Preach- a defining moment of classical and pop music mix. Also featuring the start of her Spanish influenced tracks, the U.K. Number 1 La Isla Bonita and the underrated title track- also a UK number one. This album is a real lightening in a bottle catching era of madonnas career that will stand up to thousands of listens.

True Icon. What can i say. this album sold over 24 million copies around the world was the biggest album of the 80's by a female singer and of all time at the time. the album produced five united world chart number one hits, a first for any singer and is filled with classic polished pop/mor songs. this album defined madonna as the biggest star in the world. Not the best of her career but definately the most iconic.

Classic. Such a classic!

True Blue is madonna's biggest Selling album. This is the album that in my opinion made Madonna the Queen. 1986 she shot straight to number one around the world with her hit album (true blue) that set records including most weeks at no1 on the European albums chart- 34 weeks!! the singles: -Live to tell -Papa dont preach -Open Your Heart - True blue -La isla Bonita most reached no1 around the world while others reached top 5 Everyone should have a copy of this piece of history

Oh my!. This is definitely one of her greatest albums. 'Where's The Party' is the best song by far, followed by 'White Heat'. I'd happily pay the price of the whole album for these 2 songs.

Queen. Amazing she's deserves to be called 'the queen of pop'

Perfect Pop!. 100% perfect pop from beginning to end!!

Her best album. She became a superstar with this record. It is a brilliant album and by looking at the her download chart True Blue and Like a Virgin were her popularity era.

The deserving Queen of Pop!. This is the album that secured Madonna's place as a cultural icon and earned her the deserving title of Queen of Pop. Every single track is outstanding in terms of vocals, lyrics and production. It's also the album where her songs and accompanying music videos became cultural events elevated to the status of works of high art. Standout tracks include Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach, True Blue, La Isla Bonita and Live to Tell but the rest of the album tracks are equally impressive and fantastic to listen and dance too, especially the underrated and often overlooked Where's the Party. This is 80s Madonna at her very best although she would prove to go on from strength to strength throughout the decades to come. I couldn’t recommend this album enough to any music lover. It's pop perfection.

CLASSIC !. Classic 80's album. 5 out of 5 !

Incredible. Madonna's debut was essentially a dance album, the closest thing to a ballad being 'Borderline' which was catchy pop. She followed this up by attempting a pop album but it wasn't until the release of 'True Blue' that the Queen of Pop got the formula right. Whilst 'Like A Virgin' had two stand-out tracks and a plethora of filler, 'True Blue' has prospective singles in abundance. No wonder she released 5 of the 9 tracks! In the USA and the UK, all of the singles topped the charts and that's testament enough to the quality of this album. From the moment the opening track 'Papa Don't Preach' starts with its instantly recognisable strings you know that Ms Ciccone has learnt from her mistakes and has put her all into this release. Elsewhere, US chart topper 'Open Your Heart' and the UK chart topping title track present oppposing examples of the pop spectrum, the former rock-infused and hard edged, the latter all bubblegum cuteness. 'Where's The Party' and 'Love Makes The World Go Round' are catchy if castaway pop songs which merely celebrate pop for pop's sake whilst 'Jimmy Jimmy' treads similar territory as the title tracks and 'La Isla Bonita' ventures into Latino pop which Madonna would return to regularly on later albums. 'White Heat' samples film soundtracks and amazingly manages to avoid being cheesey but the stand-out track here is lead single 'Live To Tell'. Not having recorded many ballads ('Crazy For You', 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore', 'Shoo-Bee-Doo', er...that'd be it, then) it was possibly a brave move to release a ballad as the first track from the new album, especially since catchier, poppier tracks like 'Papa Don't Preach' were sitting in the wings, but with 'Live To Tell' Madonna states emphatically that she's here and she's not just a one trick pony. Serious, sombre and heartfelt, 'Live To Tell' proved that if she set her mind to it, Madonna was capable of producing popular music of any genre. Unlike 'Like A Virgin' none of the tracks on 'True Blue' are easy to dismiss as filler. Like 'Madonna' each track is individually catchy but in contrast the styles are wide ranging whilst retaining an overall cohesion. Ms Ciccone would refine this approach further with 'Like A Prayer', but this is where she began to evolve and spread her wings.

This is Madonna at her best. Of all the material she has written this was madonna at her best, from here she has joined the ranks of mainstream, before this she was setting the pace at which others were struggling. Every single song has great memories for me, a classic album

A true pop classic. By far her greatest album, they just don't do albums this like anymore :-( Everything from the title track to Where's The Party every song is a classic. It's sad to hear the new rubbish from Madonna when she has done something so amazing as this.... CLASSIC 5/5

Madonnas best album. Definitely the best madonna album, by far.

Madonna mania. Great classic. Love this album....

her best abbu. at her peak this and like a virgin will never be equalled in terms of what shw did for music of her generation. and why why why does true blue a uk no.1 never ever appear on a best of madonna album??

Overrated.. This album is classified as Madge’s best amongst fan groups but for me it’s overrated. It’s only good because of the hits.

Madonna secures her place on the superstar podium. The first album by a female performer to rocket straight to the British number one slot, True Blue is the album that heralded Madonna as a pop force the equal of Michael Jackson and Prince. 'Papa Don't Preach' broke away from the often mocked 'Minnie Mouse on helium' vocal of her earlier works, hosting a mature, toned down approach, especially emotive on 'Live To Tell', a portentous beauty and one of the eighties' stone cold classic power ballads. The driving 'Open Your Heart' came with a Jean-Baptiste Mondino video that showcased the lady's daring underwear-as-outerwear wardrobe, brassy crop and toned body, and Madonna's endless cycle of reinventions began here. 'La Isla Bonita' is a beautiful, haunting slow burner that exposes the romantic Latin heart under all those hard stares and kinetic dance moves. Between the fantastic variations in voice, theme and style, impeccability of production and sheer artistry of the accompanying videos, True Blue is more than a masterful pop album. This is where Madonna shed the disco tart persona and laid her cunning intelligence and genius for self promotion bare. This is where the icon was born.

James espie. 4EVA TRUE BLUE ILY❤️JE/CK TBILY❤️only one man my true blue the album ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My favourite Madonna album. Full to the brim of some of her best hits ever, this is the Madonna everybody loves! My favourites are Papa Don't Preach, True Blue and Live To Tell. I'd definitely recommend this to any 80s fan
