Beyoncé. This is the album that overexposed her. This is when she was trying to be someone she’s not and when she tried too hard to keep up with the younger artists of the time. Well into her 30s and was trying to cater to the college kids and high schoolers and forgot about her adult audience. Unoriginal as always and overhyped. Beyoncé had talent and has always been a gorgeous woman, she just ended her career with this one.

Growing Woman! Thanks for being so real!!. I know I’m super late, but i am playing catch up being in a marriage that took my identity and confidence and growth! I wasn’t allowed to listen to nothing but church music for 11 years of my life and was alienated from family and friends and basically the world. I cried listening to this and what mad her take the huge step to finally break free of all the ppl on here who are so quick to say whatever negative things that come to their minds about another person’s craft. It takes a lot of courage to sing in front of people period, but to let us in and share these types of songs that are personal or that gives us a peek into how you feel or what you are going through at a certain point in your life so people like these hating, judgmental a**, people can give their negative opinions on who they think you are or think you are not is very inspiring and humbling. I see these negative comments and don’t understand how can you get on here and be so ignorant and mean? Why can’t you just not say anything at all if you don’t have anything nice and uplifting and encouraging to say about someone else's work or craft. There is constructive criticism and then there are these miserable people who loves to try and talk down on an obviously talented, hard working, passionate, and inspiring artists like Queen B just bc one of her many albums or songs doesn’t apply to your da** life! She is NOT a robot and since God made us all different she is NOT going to always feel like you do! You guys remind me of my ex husband…the ones who has only known Beyoncé through the songs she has written or song throughout her long career and not in person at all, but then say she is having an identity crisis or trying to sound like others when she has always probably been this way, but had to suppress it in public to please all you stereotyping, “saints”, “who has never cursed”, drank, or worn nothing but long sleeves and long skirts. Beyoncé is as real and human as it gets! And if you did more homework, this album has always been who she was…except now she knows how it feels gaining all the pregnancy weight and feelings of not feeling sexy after giving birth, then working to get her body back, and that feeling of wanting to rub it in those women who doubted she could or would do it, and nothing like feeling sexy and confident again for your husband. Every woman’s thoughts after their first child is what she put on this CD. And it’s a CD made for married couples if you ask me,! I’m glad to see her let her hair down finally bc a woman coming from 3rd Ward of Houston,Tx also know Beyoncé is finally able to be free and be herself and not put in this BOX that’s has only ONE commercialized robotic look and feel with every song sounding the same after a certain period. Thank you Beyoncé for being so brave and strong and doing something a lot of artist would be to afraid to do, but now you’ve opened up a lot eyes and when you are catering to your true ride or die fans, all these negative comments just falls by the wayside and better off without these people who rather sew negative seeds when you don’t fit in there box or sing something not related to their situation like you are their personal jukebox. I’m thankful to have this opportunity to catch up to everyone else with your music and life,! You are love and I see it and hear it in your music!

This is BAD. The majority of review here are reviewing the promotion of this album, which granted was a risk and it paid off. The fact remains though, that there is nothing about this record that is in any way pleasing to the ear. It's bad, unprogressive and unradio friendly. If you're looking for a Single Ladies, visit previous Beyonce albums because there is nothing hit worthy here. This album is almost as bad as Lady Gaga and Britney's latest albums. The main problem is that this is far too American-ised. It's R&B and Hip hop non sense that does not work to Australian audiences. Honestly save your money. "Pretty Hurts" basically sums up this album, only it's not pretty... it just hurts the ears. And what on earth is Drunk In Love? Horrendous is the answer!

A complete album from the G.O.A.T. After letting the hoopla of the release go by, i finally listened to this album & its probably the most complete album she's made alongside "Bday". Its hard to keep churning out hit albums especially when you make a misstep along the way. But she got back onto the saddle & delivered a hit when one wasn't expected. There was a real hunger in making this album & it shows. There is no competition to Beyonce except herself. Its hard to run a race on your own but she's chasing her shadow to be the R&B/pop equivalent of the G.O.A.T

It's a hand that beckons you in slowly then grabs you by the throat hard. It is the only album I have ever listened too that has enabled me to feel empowered, beautiful, sexy! It is something I cannot stop and will not stop listening too. Something so beautifully rare, something so unbelievably ground-breaking Raw, fresh, funky and Beyoncé. There isn't a better combination.

Meh. Yeah I thought it was terrible, and after all the recent controversy with her racist super bowl performance. I think it's time to call time on this artist, if this album is anything to go by her time is done. Shame.

Wow. Not only did she drop this without anyone expecting her to, she SLAYED. I hate that people say she’s not ‘versatile’ or ‘all her music sounds the same’ but then also say ‘her old music is better’. Not one song sounds the same with Beyoncé; she experiments and still manages to slay different sounds and styles it’s amazing. I LOVE the fact this is a visual album too- I love being able to watch a music video which helps me gain perspective of the song and what she is trying to tell us. 1. Pretty Hurts- vocals are AMAZING! I love the message she is putting across and the video is ICONIC for showing her message. I love it 2. Haunted- the visuals in this video is great. I do like the song and it gives a very sexy vibe and it’s very different to what we’ve heard from Bey before. 3. Drunk in love- one of my faves!! It’s one of them where when you hear it come on anywhere I get excited, sing all of the words and start dancing! It’s got a good vibe and I’ll always love it 4. Blow- another sexy song. Not one of my faves but I still listen to it and the visuals are amazing with the neon and the skating- very good 5. No angel- oh Bey if only I could sing that high to sing it with you! I love this song but I can’t sing this🤣 6. Partition- ICONIC I love it! Brings out my inner hoe🤣and the chair dance will forever be iconic 7. Jealous- this song is SO UNDERRATED!! I love the fact the first verse is all about jealousy, the second verse is all sassy and the third verse is more emotional... like it shows everyone’s personalities when we feel jealous and I just love it I really wish she would sing this song live but I did love it when she sang a bit of it at the VMAs🤣wanna hear it more though!! 8. Rocket- this is another sexy one I like the vibe it’s grew on me as I’ve got older 9. Mine- another underrated song. Not only does she collaborate with Drake it’s just amazing. The visuals are everything and I never get bored of listening for 6 minutes 10. XO- a very happy song and it just puts me in a good mood every time I listen to it I love it 11. Flawless- very iconic. Makes me feel confident in myself which I love and I think Bey is good at making her fans become more confident. 12. Superpower- I wasn’t overly keen on this one at first- it’s very different than what we are used to. But I actually think this is very underrated and I really like listening to it and the music video is iconic but UNDERRATED (but then Taylor who was ‘inspired’ by this video definitely now has one of the biggest videos🙄) 13. Heaven- I used to listen to this like everyday when I had to let go of my Auntie and my Nan to help me release my emotion out. It’s such a lovely song but always makes me emotional 14. Blue- such a beautiful song and I love you Blue😢
