Great blues album!!. This record shows off so many years of blues guitar work from some of the all time greats. Really well done recording!
Terrific. Hoping this release will be followed up with albums from the previous festivals. Please!!!
CrossRoads to Heaven. How can this not show it's rating on iTune's post? The video's great & so are these two incrdible CDs. Thanks Eric & others...
Congo Square. Worth the cost just to hear Derek and Sonny trade unique slide guitar licks on Congo Square.
Great buy but no holdsworth 😔. Really wish they would have included allan holdsworth
Crossroads. I heard this on TV, WOW, This is the best ever!!!! Thanks
She's Alright, She's Alright. Doyle and Gary tear it up…..
CrossRoads Guitar Festival 2013 Live. Eric Clapton Classic
Wow.. Nice to have playback of “another” Crossroads festival…but spectacular to have such a finely produced collection of performances from a cross-generational selection of the best players out there. Not only are some of the elder statesmen rediscovering their chops [sic], they’re cutting new trails (Gregg Allman’s soulful performance on “Needle…” is just one e.g.). On the flip side, Clapton and his old friends seem to inspire the likes of Mr. Mayer to play up to standard. Maybe there’s something to be said for being (well) over 40...
Fitting celebration of the medium. This was an interesting concert album. Lots of luminaries from the past and present. It was truly a fitting celebration of the medium. Lots of my favorite artists were involved in this concert, so I decided it would be worth checking out. The album's best tracks were mostly songs featuring those favorite artists that i already liked going in. The Citizen Cope song rocked, as did songs featuring Gary Clark, Jr. and John Mayer. The Clapton songs were also pretty good. I really liked the version of Tears in Heaven. The album overall had a pretty raw and occasionally swampy vibe, which i loved. Obviously there was great guitar work throughout, but it was occasionally boring and dragged. Though I like long concert jams, there were just too many 6+ minute songs to hold my interest for this many tracks. The live feel worked for and enhanced many songs, but kind've weakened some others - as is to be expected with so many artists performing live. The vocals were also hit and miss. So I would recommend this album to someone who is a fan of the specific artists. It would be a great pick and choose album, but I-tunes has shown that they are aware of that by making all the songs "album only." They think that'll make them more money by making you buy the throwaways to get the artists you want.
Not Butch. That's Derek Trucks on the Neil Young track and "Midnight Rider"---not Uncle Butch.
outstanding. I bought this tasty little treat for myself recently . Good to hear EC back in the groove ....
6 stars for Slow Hand & Co. .... But it ayers
Nick capone. Clapton is the best he never loses his style
holy crap. i,m gonna wear the groovs off this
Great Music & Artists with a Purpose. Anyone who gives this album anything less than 5 stars doesn't understand what the Crossroads Guitar Festival is all about or the cause that it supports. Do some research people! True EC fans know. Great music from great artists. Awesome collection of tunes.
EC reigns supreme. Eric's best work in years and I agree with CoachWayneo that it would be awesome to have all the festivals in audio format.
Awesome!. Enough said
Superb. Fake “artist" need not apply.
Cj. Amazing collection of guitar legends all playing together and apart beautifully and cohesively harmonized, richly produced, the vinyl collection is 8 massively intimidating sides, however sounds fantastic when you want time to chill and have your own Crossroads festival in your home!
Fantastic. Sound quality is superb. Very memorable performances.
