souless?!?!. Unknown Reviewer of Itunes, how can you deem Enya "souless"? I've had some of the most profound personal moments with this album. Her use of sweeping chord progressions and characteristic elegance remain infinitely mesmerizing to me.

Finally!. Memory of Trees was never on iTunes-- until now! I love this album. Most of the great songs have been on Paint the Sky with Stars already but there are some great ones that are new to iTunes. "Tea-House Moon" reminds me of aliens but it's enchanting. "Pax Deorum" is... it's one of the most sinister song of Enya ever, very dark and apocalyptic, very enchanting. I love "China Roses", the vibrant delightful "Anywhere Is", and the happy-to-be-alive "On My Way Home". I don't know why the main review implies that this Album is not good, It does-- it ROCKS!!! "Memory of Trees" (the song) is also beautiful, reminds me of being in heaven.

D-bag album reviewers.... As a HUGE rock n metal fan, I'm not supposed to like this music, but this is just beauty in music form, and who can't appreciate that? ITunes should not use hipper-than-thou "professional" reviewers (who probably gave Kanye West a 5 star review) for this type of music. It's a great disservice to the artist, not to mention bad business practice to make listeners feel stupid for liking something that they don't consider "cool". Indie-critic-darling bands usually disappear after two records, but Enya will outlast all of them. :)

A Voice Calls. The voice of enya cant be mistaken anywhere.Every single one of her songs are beautiful, and i mean EVERY ONE OF HER SONGS ARE B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L .This is a CD you dont have to think about getting. You should buy it its worth its price, and you wont regret buying it.

so beautiful. this is my favorite at of all the albums! i just fall in love with the instrumental songs.

What the heck is wrong with the review?!. I think this is one of Enya's best albums, so relaxing and emotional and heartfelt. Great for winding down after a long day or playing as background music... even for normal listening it's hard to fail with this album! iTunes, you need to rethink who writes your reviews because this album is AMAZING.

Ignore the iTunes review. >_>. This album is different from the prior ones. Not instrumentally nor vocally, but lyrically. It is a very incantatory album. In other words, there is a lot of chanting and repetition, to a degree where the whole album almost sounds like she's reciting straight out of some sort of mythical spell book. Of all her albums, it is the most perfect for a true New Age fan.

Beauty 🕊💡✨🦢🌳✨. Beautiful High Vibrational Music✨

The album I remember the best... I decided to check out Enya on Itunes after recalling her songs from The Fellowship of the Ring. For years, I couldn't listen to Enya because it reminded me of my first girlfriend who played her albums all the time. Eventually, I got over that girlfriend but still didn't listen to Enya's music because of the associations. But after listening to May It Be, I wanted to see if the associations lingered. After listening to this album, I'm happy to say that any associations left are good ones. To me, this album is THE Enya album. It totally resonates in my heart. Her other albums are great, especially Watermark, but The Memory of Trees for me is my memory of Enya!

Stunning. The main album review at the top needs to be changed. Soulless? You've got to be kidding me. I have been an Enya fan since I was three years old and love her just as much now at age 20. This album is just as good as all her others. She is one of the few people where I can listen to all of the songs on the album over and over. She is certainly not for everyone, but her music is not "soulless." Please get a new main review for the album. If you are an Enya fan, this album will be just as good to you as the others. I actually did not own the album but realized that I knew many of the songs off the album, so I had to get the album and was immediately pleased. You won't be disappointed. "Hope Has a Place" is my favorite on this album.

Just amazing. all of its good, The Memory of the Trees, will ALWAYS be my favorite. I guess i'm just one of the many guys that loves her music. her voice and music is so good its uncanny.

Amazingly Inappropriate iTunes. Enya's work is both timeless and beautiful. I am SO glad that while us customers have to maintain a certain code of conduct, the reviewers of our music do not. Thank you iTunes for paying so much attention to your customers in this way.

It's Enya, come on. I love Enya. Even though I am a rocker I love her, because she has something that's universally...good. But come on iTunes, who the heck writes your reviews? Enya SOULLESS? How is music that sounds like heaven and is inspired by our ancestors, soulless? Maybe these tracks sound simular, but this is kind of like, a concept album, tracks are supposed to flow, not jar. Look at the top 10 of the moment pop hits for soulless. This reviewer was not only unobservant, he probably has never even listened to anything Enya does, especially gems like "The Memory of Trees" and "Athair Ar Neamh". He makes her sound trite and trend-following like the rest of our "top artists". Come on.

Great album, bad review.. The songs on here are completely different than that of the newer albums, in a good way. The flowing melody along with Enya's soulful voice are truly unique, something no one else can accomplish. This music is very good for relaxing and really helps to relieve stress. Who ever wrote the official review sounds halfhearted. It's our money we are deciding to spend and they should try to convince us that this is a good album to buy. If I was not an Enya fan and saw the review I would not think that I would want to buy anything this album. iTunes is costing itself money by writing reviews like this.

Enya. For awhile this was the only CD on the market worth buying. Not a bad song on hear, this CD is a cant miss.

Her Greatest Work Thus Far. Few works of art I have stumbled across have resonated so deeply within my soul. TMOT is simply a journey of mystical and enchanting, heart-touching beauty. Every song takes you far beyond the harsh confines of every day reality. I can imagine endless ethereal soundscapes springing from each track and just want to revel and explore this wondrous world she has created forever and ever. This album will always move me further than I have ever been moved and remains, in my opinion, her strongest work to date. Find yourself amongst all the pieces and enter this new fantastic kingdom of trees of gold.

Who did you gratify to get this job, since qualified your not.. In the future please spare us from disputable deficient conclusion. Not one listener agrees with you. I like others here, appreciate the time taken in these reviews. They are extremely helpful. As well I have seen some reviews that were not impressed with the paticular work being reviewed. But I did was not insulted and belittled, due to purchaseing the music. You on the other hand have insulted every customer of ITUNES that purchassed TMOT. You wrote, "hushed, lovely and soulless as everything else she has done. You then go on to relate her to angel food cake, due to the lack of nutritive substance. Then go further in saying. Why any one would spend money and buy what amounts to a complete rehash of her earlier work. What is the matter with you? No really whats your major malfunction? Do not ever take the liberty to insult us again. We are called customers, who keep ITUNES in buisness. Clearly you are clueless about the work of this Enya. Your oppinion should be professional. Not to mention insulting the customers, bad for buisness. How many sales have you lost due to your lack of professionalism. In the future exercise some self control. Review the work, not insult the artist & buyers. In todays econmy, loosing sales makes you an idiot. Wonder if I would be insulted by Rapsody for purchasing Enya. You do not like what I've written? Well how does it feel to have your entire position belittled due to one review? Think about it. Now as for the album, I have loved it since I bought it in the 90's. It is amazing no doubt one of her best in my oppinion. Many hours listening and loveing TMOT. Thanks ITUNES for adding it. I too like others here, wrote and begged for this one. Thanks for listening.

The Official Reviewer Must Be Soulless!. First of all, Enya uses her voice to stimulate, enhance, and revive our souls through her heavenly music. She has captivated my soul and has helped retrace my life and even enhance it through her works. I think the reviewer is out of touch with her style of new age music. If this person thinks her music is soulless, then I would like to hear what kind of "soul" music this person listens to.

The album has been out for a long time. The first thing I think of when I look at her is beauty. She is a beautiful woman with eyes that seem to see right through you. She has never produced a bad song ever. She lives in her own castle in Scotland with a personal studio. She is a musical genius able to score, produce, and perform. It blows my mind and haunts my soul when I’m alone with her and her music. “Father In Heaven” in Gaelic > Athair Ar Neamh is sometimes used in weddings in an orchestra version.

That's a review?. It is quintessential Enya. If you liked her earlier stuff you'll probably like this. That's not as torturous as the reviewer thinks. They would probably write the same thing about Elton John.

Lovely!. Enya is so peaceful and calming. I especially love Tea House Moon. It's light hearted in a mysterious and strange kind of way. :)

This is music to me. i grew up with her music, and up to now... i still listen to her songs ☺️

Thank God!!!. Thank you so much ITunes for Putting TMOT on. This is one of Enya's greatest albums, and it would have been a shame if it were left out.

Memories of Enya. This album is particularly haunting and beautiful. I love all her albums but the song "On The Way Home" on this CD struck at my heart strings....We all at some point remember home as both sad and joyous...Enya is an Angel.....

I have always loved this album. I have always loved this album. It is relaxing and inspirational. A few of the songs are melancholy and have helped me to celebrate the sad times of life.

One of My Favorites!. I'm so glad they put up this album after I had a hard time getting songs from here. My absoulute favorite song is Anywhere Is because it is very up-to-the-point to where you can't resist dancing to it (while other songs, such as China Roses, calm you down). Now if only iTunes put A Day Without Rain back up...and put up a wallpaper with the trademark logo, everything would be perfect!

The description writer needs a vacation, 'nuff said.... I find myself nodding at the descriptions of albums in iTunes SO OFTEN. If they are looking for an excuse to not have included this album in their collection sooner, it is quite a lame one if you ask me. There are perhaps 2 songs in this album I would consider are not her best. I am not one to end up hurting someone's feelings by mentioning them. I am a strong believer that it is up to people to decide what they like. My favorite has got to be Once You Had Gold. And there is NO Enya album that is not worth having. All of her albums are well put together and are definitely worth having, this is no exception. If you are an Enya fan, or just a person who is getting into New Age and Ambient music, ignore the description and take the reviews we wrote instead. The Memory of Trees has astounding reviews in the web, all those people couldn't be wrong.

so glad i asked!. I put in a request for this album because it was the only one that i really missed from the enya collection. Thanks iTunes!

as always, enya adds a bit of heavan to the real world.. How can you go wrong with TMOT? There's powerful peices like Pax Deorum that connect us with our ancient past, and the gentle beauty of peices like China Roses wich are good for soothing and relaxing in a world that's all about movement. As with all of Enya's albums, completely gorgeous, and completly woth the money!

Wonderful!!. Hope Has a Place: 3/5. Beautiful singing, but a bit too repetitive. From Where I Am: 4/5. I appreciated the nice piano. Enya didn't sing, but the title of the song is interesting. It's as if she's sending a peaceful melody from wherever she is. Tea-House Moon: 4.5/5. I love this song. It reminds me of something delightfully strange or mysterious, for some reason. It feels like music I would hear in a dream. On My Way Home: 5/5. It sounded like the other Enya songs until 00:53, the first chorus. It's very upbeat and a nice touch. This is an amazing song. La Sonadora: 5/5! I love the mystical feeling I get when I listen to her songs, and this is one of my favorite songs of hers. If I had to recommend one song on this album, this would be it! (But I can't recommend just one song!) I hope to get more songs on this album soon!

top stuff. the iTunes review makes no sense . . . . obviously under the influence of a mind-altering substance . . .

Relax ….life can be crazy. Grew up with my father playing her. A 37 year old father I now play this. Ironic no? E ya just had a way to relax you no matter the day.

Warm light sifts through the leaves...in my Memory of Trees. So enamoured did I become of this album that I wrote a book around its themes and gave lyrics to its title track. This music goes very deep. Very!
