Kinky boots is amazing!. I saw this musical just a few days ago and admittedly, I wasn't too thrilled about it going into it. However once the show started, it was love at first sight! Kinky Boots is an absolutely phenomenal musical with a great storyline that covers great material. I cannot wait for this album's release!

KINKY BOOTS. You guys must see this show! It is amazing and fantastic! I saw it two weeks ago and I had a blast. WHen the show was going on, I looked around and EVERYONE was bobbing their heads and really enjoying the music. You will laugh, cray and sing along throughout the hold show. It brings every type of genre and the moral to the story is really important. If you guys have the time, and you are in the city, come to see this show! I mean, it is nominated for 13 TONY AWARDS INCLUDING BEST MUSICAL!!!! I am already making plans to see it again! Trust me, you wont be disappointed!!!! EVERYBODY SAY YEAH!!!

Best Cast Album In Years. This original cast recording was so much fun to listen to. Love blasting it in my car. Who'd a thunk Cyndi Lauper would make Broadway crossover?

Rocked the Tony Awards!!!. An amazing musical with a message of acceptance and love! Bringing it all together is the masterful music created by the multi-talented Cyndi Lauper! Just brilliant! Lauper proved to everyone that she is a force to be reckoned with! She won the Tony award for best score (the first solo female to ever do so!) and now has an Emmy, a Tony, and a Grammy….I see an oscar in her future…someone give this lady a movie to write a song for !!!! The cast was incredible as was every part of this musical……but the music….OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fabulous. As I wait in line to get tickets to see Kinky Boots for the 5th time, I can guarantee you: this album is fantastic. Very 90s. Very Lauper. And very deserving of 13 Tony Nominations.

Raise you up!. A soundtrack with a great storyline and totally worth the money. It gives you an understanding of people that are different but amazing in their own way. Buy it, it's worth it

Simply the best!. Being a Pittsburgh gal, born & bred, when I heard that Sweet Billy was coming "home" to do Kinky Boots I knew there was no way I wouldn't be there at least once for the show. Opening night he brought the house down and tears to our eyes mid show with "Not My Father's Son" and continued to do so each night. The music is fantastic, the show is fantastic, and Billy Porter is spectacular and our very own Pittsburgh treasure! God Bless You Sweet Billy!xxoxxo😘😘

Kinky Boots. Better than the Producers, better than The Lion King, better than the Phantom of the Opera. This show is indescribably the best production on Broadway. The music is inspiring, uplifting, and makes everyone want to dance. The story has a moral, while eliminating any awkwardness that could be hounded from the "transvestite" life. It's a must-see and a flat out gorgeous play. I fell in love, and so will everyone else.

We flew from the Philippines to New York City just to see this AMAZING musical on Broadway ... nearly 40 hours round trip travel just for Kinky Boots. Ok ... GUILTY ... we saw it TWICE in one weekend! The best musical I've seen in my life!!! And Billy Porter is just a force of nature in this show. "Not My Father's Son" brings tears to my eyes even one month later after seeing it live. And his solo ballad at the end ..... like diva royalty in all "her" splendor. Everybody needs this album in their playlist .... EVERYBODY!!! And GO SEE THE SHOW !!! You will be AMAZED !!! - Sam White

Speechless. Most amazing show I've ever seen. I'm a huge theatre fan and I have never seen a show like this. Billy porter blew me away (which was expected) and I am still shaking from how good it was. I mean I was crying in the last number because of how happy the show and music made me feel. If you are picking a show to see this is it. This really really is it. Just be!

Best of the Best. This show will run for years and years. The message(s) it expresses are so timeless, powerful and universal that anyone from any background can leave feeling better about the world. There is a reason that the the best of the best talent exists in New York City and this show is a prime example of some of the foremost musical performers in the world coming together to make something truly special. Cyndi Lauper is a brilliant lyricist, her songs managed to express an enormous amount of profound feelings and complex emotions all the while keeping the plot moving forward. The performances brought me to tears several times, as the songs tapped into some dark places in my past that I had closed my heart against. The entire production was great and moves along so seamless and seemingly without effort you really have to wonder how it all comes together. I can't wait to see it again.

Best on Broadway!. Kinky Boots is a super high energy show that's a must-see!

"A"-mazing !. I went and saw Pippin and Matilda a few days before this show. Although they were all great shows, I have never been this excited when I was watching and enjoying the music of Kinky Boots. I left the theater having the best happy, positive feeling. Everyone in the cast were awesome. Billy Porter was amazing.

I LOVE THIS but.... i am HERE for Brendon Urie in two ft red heels. The thing I HATE is "ladies gentleman and those who have yet to make up there minds." As a gender fluid person that hurts. I think that the should represent more than gay guys.

Fun show, music is nothing special.. I really enjoyed this show - it's fun, has a great message, and it was very well-acted. (Billy Porter is absolutely phenomenal.) The music though? Repetitive, un-memorable, and lacking even a hint of complexity. That said, it's a fun listen. This certainly is not a terrible soundtrack, but look at other shows if you're searching for unique music with intelligent lyrics.

SOUL OF A MAN!!. Saw the show on Sunday, walked out and went to the Tony Awards to watch it win everything. YEAH!!!! It is AMAZING. It deserved every award it got. Billy Porter, though?? Welcome back to the stage, sir. Your Tony was well deserved!

Outstanding!!. I've been to many excellent theater productions, but this is the best of the best! I saw it recently while I was in London & the audience gave it a 10 minute standing ovation. Billy Porter is absolutely amazing as Lola. He deserved the Tong he got for best actor 10X over! Taylor Lauderman played Lauren & she had the audience falling out of their chairs with her rendition of"History of Wrong Guys". I laughed, I cried, when the show ended I didn't want leave! Seeing Kinky Boots was the highlight of our trip! Go see it!!

The Most Beautiful Thing in the World. This is the best Broadway Score in years. Hands down. Normally, a show will leave me with a tune or two in my head on the way back to the Subway, but after only seeing it once, I practically had the entire soundtrack playing in my head. And that brought me back to experience the show another three times. It has a gripping quality that is hard to come by. The music is fun, energetic, and heartfelt. It highlights messages in the show beautifully yet doesn't smother the audience with sap. Cyndi Lauper wrote a truly masterful score while Billy Porter and Stark Sands carry a magnificent ensemble to greatness. Songs: --"Price and Son Theme / The Most Beautiful Thing in the World" 10/10 - A perfect opener. The melody is catchy and the song lays out the exposition of the story quickly, effectively, and most importantly, enjoyably. --"Take What You Got" 9/10 - I found this to be the most refreshing song on the album. The simplistic guitar coupled with Andy Kelso superb vocals really make this a great song. --"Land of Lola" 10/10 - My favorite song on the album. Billy Porter commands attention in the part, and this song is his character; sexy, engaging, exciting, and fun. I find my self listening to this on repeat. --"Charlie's Soliloquy & Step One" 9/10 - These songs showcase Stark Sands vocals quite well. Enjoyably upbeat. --"Sex is in the Heel" 10/10 - I feel like this is the shows real knock out number. Someone says "Kinky Boots" I think of this song. It does the best job of showing off the cast as a whole and I also find myself listening this multiple times. --"History of Wrong Guys" 9/10 - Don't get me wrong, Annaleigh Ashford is brilliant in this part and this is the funniest part of the show in my opinion. The only reason it gets a 9 instead of a 10 is because this version doesn't quite match the version from Chicago. I Listened to that version for months before this album was released and I suppose I just got used to it. (It's Ashford and the same lyrics and all, just different delivery.) --"Not My Fathers Son" 9/10 - Beautiful song. Beautiful message. Porter and Sands sound spectacular harmonizing towards the end. --"Everybody Say Yeah" 9/10 - Well this is obviously the production favorite, as it was used in practically every advertisement for the show in existence. Again, don't get me wrong, I love the song, but I feel something like "Sex is in the Heel" should have been showcased more rather than this. --"What a Woman Wants" 10/10 - Hilarious. And poignant. Billy Porter's delivery is superb. --"In This Corner" 10/10 - I love this recording, partially because this is the only song I have a hard time hearing clearly in the theatre. The Angel playing the referee has a astoundingly powerful belt. --" Charlie's Soliloquy (Reprise) & Soul of a Man" 10/10 - Here's how great Stark Sands can sing. That's what this song is. He sounds spectacular and gives a heavily emotional performance. --"Hold me in Your Heart" 10/10 - Billy. Porter. BEAUTIFUL. Period. --"Raise You Up / Just Be" 10/10 - The grand finale indeed. This song gets the audience moving, clapping, grinning and having loads of fun. The perfect way to end a spectacular show. Buy it. Or even better, SEE IT and pick up a copy at the theatre.

KINKY BOOTS: The Musical. Twelve Tony Award nominations... It's gonna be one helluva show! I can't wait!! I yelled "Diva!" to Cyndi on her 40th birthday while she was touring HFOS... She asked what it meant. My friend, Tommy Tuttle yelled out, "Goddess!" (Not a cigar winning answer there, TT) Cyndi then asked, "Does that mean I have to be ornery now?" Priceless.

The Best Broadway Soundtrack Of 2013. seriously i listended to matilda the musical and love that just as much but this one took the cake Billy POrter is awsome and a the best diva of the year. Stark Sands is the net aaron Tveit or Jeremy jordan and Annaligh Ashford is hot hilarious and talented. Just pleae get this soundtrack even if you dont like broadway you will still aprreciate because some of the songs sound like pop songs you will love it and it has something for everybody. GET IT NOW> 100/10

Cyndi & Harvey are one dynamite duo!. This was amazing show and it carries a message that resonates to all ages and generation. One amazing show needs an amazing soundtrack and I have always loved and enjoyed Cyndi Lauper's work but she definitely knocked this one out of the park. A must-see musical and must-have soundtrack!
