This is where it all started. This LP and on the boarder plus their tours in the mid 70's brought it all together for this eagles lover. EXCELLENT.

The real Eagles!. This is the real Eagles with Randy Mesiner on harmonies and bass, and Bernie Leadon's country licks on guitar. Nothing can ever replace their original sound. Their first four albums are overshadowed by their post Hotel California success. Their debut album is an underrated gem.

Ignore the Spinal Tap jibe. For a first album this is pretty good - three stellar songs, and an interesting mix of rock and country styles provide the balance of the album. Listen to it complete a few times and even the unknown songs will have you tapping your feet and singing the chorus. It's great because this was just four young men doing what they loved most - writing songs and playing music - before the superstardom and ego's erupted. Highly enjoyable.
The greatest record Spinal Tap never made.. Avoid.
