Love this band!. This album is so unique and fun, and definitely underrated

A flash back to the 80's but a lot cooler. This band is great!!! It does have an 80's feel to it but great dance music was made back then and you can understand all the lyrics. Just great feel good music. Love it

Yikes, this is bad. I was so looking forward to their second release, but this is just awful. The distinctive sound and hooks that were in the first album are almost nowhere to be found here. (What is that wall-of-soundish thing going on in the first tracks?) I'm all for bands growing and going in new directions, but to my ears they've taken a wrong turn and come to a screeching (really screeching) halt.

FANTASTIC. This album is the first I have heard of Fitz & the Tantrums, but I LOVE IT!! There is actually no song that I do not like. Every time I listen to a song I fall in love with them more. Way to go Fitz and the gang!!! You won't regret buying this album.

Great Summer Music Addition. More Than Just a Dream proves that Fitz and the Tantrums are not only not just a one album band but they're not just a one genre band. This album is full of funky dancable songs that combine R&B with the early alternative sound of the 80s. This is one album that can be the perfect companion to any summer soundtrack whether you're chilling poolside or cruising down a scenic two lane highway with the top down. I for one am loving this album and the direction FATT are taking their music. And while House on Fire isn't the strongest song on the album it still manages to bring something to the overall sound without weighing the rest of the album down. The only thing I would have done differently if I were Michael Fitzpatrick and the producers of this album would have been to switch the song The End with the last song on the album MerryGoRound because with a name like the The End it's a song that sounds like it should be the last one on the album. More Than Just a Dream is a definite must buy.

Amazing!. Great album

Weird. I haven’t purchased the album but I have heard most, if not all, of the songs on iTunes Radio and Spotify. It would be harsh to give this a one-star when it is a decent album. It’s just a tonal shift from Picking Up The Pieces that caused me to become such a fan of Fitz and the Tantrums. So I’m giving it 3 out of 5 as it isn’t bad but not nearly what I expected after the first album.

Good, but not as good as debut. On this album they changed their sound a little bit. The result is a mixed bag 1. Out of My League. I didn't like this song at first, but it's grown on me. 6/10 2. Break the Walls. "Hey! Break the Walls" Weakest chorus ever! 3/10 3. The Walker. BEST SONG EVER! This is the song that got me into the group. When I heard this song on the radio, I had to find out who did it, and I have been a fan ever since and seen them live. 10/10 4. Spark. This song is almost as good as the Walker. 10/10 5. 6 AM. This song is okay. Strangely, the title as it's written shows up in the lyrics to "News For U" more often than in this song. In this song, the title is 6 AM, but the lyrics go "6 in the morning." 5/10 6. Fools Gold. I didn't like it at first, but it'd grown on me a lot. Seeing it performed live is what improved my opinion of the song. The passion with which they perform this song is incredible. 8/10 7. Keeping Our Eyes Out. This song is okay. Nothing special. 5/10 8. Last Raindrop. This song is both fun and beautiful. It's not easy to get that combination. 9/10 9. House on the Fire. I LOVE this song! Noelle's voice in the chorus is SO GOOD. Great live song too. 10/10 10. The End: Noelle is a great singer, but for some reason songs with her on lead vocals don't tend to be my personal favorites. This song is pretty solid though. 6/10 11. Get Away. I really like this song. It has a lot of energy, it's catchy, and it's got some catchy wordless vocals in the chorus that are easy to learn and sing along with. It's a great concert opener. 9/10 12. Merry Go Round. This is a good, solid song. 7/10 The Walker tends to inflate my opinion of this song. Any album with that song would seem to have to be 5 stars. But I think Pickin' up the Pieces is a better overall album.

I love their sound!. Loved the 1st album, love this one too. They have something going that no one else has right now.

More than just a dream. Always have loved Fitz and the Tantrums. Their sound is something so unique and I love how they combine so many different genres. So happy they have finally gotten big! Love you guys

Effervescent and Groovy. Infectiously fun, this band is bringing back the pop wonder of ABC and the B52's. There's a little Oingo Boingo in there too. If you can't move your feet and shout along to Spark, please see your doctor.

?. What happened?

Sophomore Slump. Wha happen? Is this the same band? I am heartbroken. I'm not against change (geez, look at the Beatles), but as good as the first album was is as bad as this is. James, Jeremy, and John inexplicably seem relegated to way minor roles (nary a horn or organ to be heard, and John may as well be a drum machine). Not sure if terrible or just boring. So bummed to have to say this.

Disappointed. I am a big fan of the soulful side of fitzs' first album. The Motown simple piano, heart wrenching lyrics... They are nowhere to be found on this album. I am sad to report this album has a very poppy sound with lyrics about as deep as a half empty scotch glass. I'm bummed, hopefully the next album will be more my taste. Till then I'm sticking with the fitz I know and love (picking up the pieces)
