A Strong Single. "American Heart" seems like a logical pick for the next single off of Faith's new album. It's a nice blend of country and soul that works well with her voice and is likely to find a place on radio. Although the lyrics can be taken as a little cliche, they seem real and honest when coming from Faith. As to those reviews who question whether or not she is still relevant, all I have to say is "Yes!" With a voice like Faith's, people should be lining up to buy your albums. Unfortunately, with music today, vocals have little to do with overall sucess. Faith, however, is a rare exception and this song will hopefully lead up to an amazing album.

Is Faith still relevant?. I'm a fan, but after the predictable pop of Come On Home didn't work, it looks like Faith and her label regrouped and came up with some typical country airplay bait…no risks here at all from an artist that I expect more from. This will probably be a fairly decent sized hit for Faith, but it breaks absolutely no new ground.

American heart. Just a typical song. I like Faith Hill. Doesn't make me want to buy it. I was excited to hear a new song from Faith, just disappointed.

Not bad, not great. Considering she has one more shot at a proper "comeback" this is not the best material. "American Heart" won't knock your socks off the first time you hear it, but it's a grower. One thing, why does Faith sound like she is screaming throughout the whole song? Maybe they should have lowered the key for her, its gonna be tough to perform live.

Is Faith coming back full album this time?. It is so great to see Faith out with new material. Her voice is as good as always--she must have kept it in shape during her long hiatus to raise her babies. I have to give Faith credit for having her priorities in the right order. She was at the top of her game when she left to raise her family and you don't see many people with the strength of character to walk away from that. Of course, being married to Tim McGraw would certainly make it easier, in more ways than one. With her girls all school age now, I'm hoping she will be able to spend more time in the studio and that there will be more to come from Faith this time. Good to see you back, girl!

American Heart by Faith Hill. There comes along a song every once in a while, and when you hear it, you know it's a hit. This song warms my heart and strenghten my outlook on life. I love sipping my coffee and listening to this song every morning, to get my day started. Yes you can't break an American Heart. !!!

What happened to Faith?. After seeing Faith's performance at the CMA, I was disappointed and shocked that she is so out of touch with her fans. The song may be titled American Heart however, that's the only thing this song has going for it.

A Little Disappointed. As long as it has been since Faith recorded a new album I was expecting a little more. Both Come Home and American Heart sound very similar to what she has done in the past - a bit recycled. It's not bad - but I was hoping for some really new and innovative music from her. She has such a great, soulful voice - too bad she doesn't pick some better songs to use it with.....nothing fresh about it.

American Heart. When I first listened to this song I was not impressed. It was Faith Hill, not a new beat or rhythm, It had her great volume but it just did not really grab me and make me want to really listen to it. So, the elections are over and the Holidays are quickly approaching, now, I have heard the song again. I need to have faith in my America. My america is not what is running my United States of America. Now, I hear the song and it's words clearly. The message is powerful and really needed at this time. I don't know if there is a video, I probably just have not heard of it. I am 68 and don't ask me how that happened! I hope the video is really flag waving!! Gloria J. Danley

Bored :/. After a notably successful career in country music, I would've hoped Faith took more of a risk than making ANOTHER song like this. Country music has enough songs about how great America to the point that this one is just faded out. Just look at the astounding success of Carrie Underwood, or Taylor Swift, who have been known for taking risks and being some of the must successful women in the industry. I think just like Underwood and Swift have adapted country to 2012, Faith Hill needs to as well.

Sorry Faith... I found myself cringing as I listened to Faith sing this song. Like most of the folks on here, I love Faith Hill's voice and commitment to family. Sadly, this song feels like she's desperate and I hate to see that. I think she needs to keep shopping for better songs that are technically challenging...because she has a voice that can handle it. She doesn't need the money so don't settle for a commercially successful song...but one that'll leave you successful to us fans who are not only happy you're still singing, but hoping you'll put more songs like Breathe out.
