These are great kids. When each of us start complaining of how difficult times are its something like this that opens our eyes to the real world. I lost a special niece to this terrible disease. Michele was a very special girl who filled everyones heart with joy just by knowing her. I've met other children with this and they are all very special. Thank you Brad for doing this song. An artist with true integrity. Not only is this a great song, but its a true song. It was written by the guy pictured next to Brad on the page for this song. (The guy in the wheelchair) He is dying of cancer. Brad is donating 100% of the proceeds to a foundation for children with cancer. The tune was written by Joe Kindregan, a 23-year-old Virginia native who has A-T (ataxia-telangiectasia), a fatal disease that combines symptoms of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, immune deficiencies and cancer. Joe met Brad back in 2005 at a fundraiser for Team 25, which helps kids facing tremendous health challenges like his. The two sang on stage together at the event and have kept in touch through the years. Brad will give all of his artist royalties from U.S. digital single sales of "Hard Life" in the next year to the A-T Children's Project. So tell everyone you know to start downloading this song!! The "Hard Life" lyrics are inspired by not only Joe's battle with A-T, but also by others with the disease who have shared their stories with him.
