Finally!!. When I saw this on Itunes I swear my heart stopped for a moment. This is hands down in my opinion one of the most awesomest collection of songs in the final fantasy franchise. My favorite song will have to be blazing through the battlefield, simply because of that epic fight scene between Genesis and Sephiroth, as well as the song underneath the apple tree which inspired me to get a guitar (and it's sitting proudly on a stand in my room and strummed daily to this very day) Awesome game with very awesome soundtracks many thanks to square enix and all it's affiliates for it's awesome works!

Epic. Epic awesomeness rolled into an egg roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such an awesome soundtrack to an awesome game. Wow, I never noticed how much i really loved the music in Crisis Core untill i looked up the OST here, out of curiousity. Its funny how all the songs bring back different parts of the story...i guess Mr. Ishimoto did his job right ^_^. As for personal favorites, I like #14, "under the apple tree"...all the music having to do with Banora was quite good. And "price of freedom"...gets me sad everytime ;_;...all in all, this collection of songs deserves 5 starts, hands down.

Incredible work!. Just goes to show that you can be as good as, if not even greater, than Uematsu. I love Ishimoto's original work and his reworks of the original songs, which are updated and given new life fitting for such a great game. One example of very few where much of the new stuff is better than the original, and I don't just mean the soundtrack.

Great album but.... I actually did not buy this ablum from itunes. I bought it from Amazon and was happy to find that the CD included "Why" by Ayaka (sung version) [It also was a little bit cheaper to buy the actual CD]. But if you don't want to wait for the CD to get shipped and don't mind that "Why" is missing from the album then buy it from itunes. All in all its a great album and i love the music! Especially "The Price of Freedom" and "Living Legacy" which is a nice combination of the main music theme's in the game. I really liked this soundtrack :D !

Album incomplete. Missing song 2:22, hence cannot by album

OMG TAHANK YOU ITUNES!!!!!. I love this game! I beat it and I was proud of my self. Genesis looks like that Gackt person though... Oh well Thank you itunes By the way can you get the version of Why with words please? I really like the song and I'm happy that you got the guitar part but... You know I kindda want the version with words. Please can you try to get it? Thanks!!

Finally!. I've been waiting to download The Price of Freedom for so long!!

A Great Album, Disappointing iTunes Release. While I'm thrilled to see this come to iTunes, I was very disappointed to see that track 22 on the second disc is missing (this is the vocal arrangment of Ayaka's "Why?" as heard in the game's final cut scene.) The omission of that crucial track and the lack of availability in iTunes plus make this hard to recommend over importing the CD.

Incredible. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has some of the best music in the final fantasy series, and will be a definite favorite for all fans, especially fans of the original FFVII. They have tweaked a lot of the old songs from the original and made them, in my opinion, better than some of them ever were. One of my favorite's is the different styled "Aerith's Theme" or "A Flower Blooming in the Slums." All of these songs are great and worth a listen if you haven't heard of them before. Kudos to the composer. A definite buy, for me at least.

ayaka, ayaka, where art thou ayaka?. The song "Why," by my favorite j-pop star ayaka, is missing in vocal form. A translation of the lyrics is below... The haze beyond your eyes clouds my sight, Are there feelings lying at the bottom of your heart? Even if the whole world was yours, Would that that bring you happiness? Why do you stare up at the lonesome sky? Why, let's see you smile I know what you're like, How you aren't good at putting things into words, so why not... What happened in days long past? In your eyes, as turn your gaze away from me Do you know of such a warmth, One that can embrace you on those lonely nights by yourself? Why are you so worked up on appearances? Why, open up your heart I know you've had a heavy cross to bear, But I've got the strength to accept you So why not try believing in me The free are awkward... The free are anxious... Why do you look up at the lonesome sky? Why, let's see you smile I know what you're like, How you aren't good at putting thing into words So why not try believing in me Click yes if you love ayaka, j-pop, final fantasy, why, or you think there should be more ayaka and video game music on the U.S. iTunes!

It's not Uematsu.... The music on this album is nowhere near as subtle or as sophisticated as any soundtrack I've heard by Nobuo Uematsu. That said, the game itself is shorter so his large-scale approach might not have worked. There are some nice variations on the main theme, and the more goth/urban and claustrophobic feel of this game is nicely reflected in the heavier beats of most tracks. I also like the remixes of the Uematsu tracks that made their way here (although the Aerith music is kinda corny). Overall the music fits the game pretty well, though I miss Uematsu's feel for the amazing world Square created... and his huge talent. Ishimoto is just not on the same level.

Beautiful. Absolutely love this soundtrack. Living Legacy and The Price of Freedom are truly one of the best instrumental tracks out there.

WARNNG: Nostalgia will insue. Seriously, this game is probably the best of the FF7 Compilation, and the music is proof of that. I know it isn't the most popular song up here, but download Living Legacy. Its a truly beautiful peice, and it really will make you feel those chills of nostalgia when you listen to it. Same Goes for To Be Continued. ESPECIALLY for To Be Continued.

Cannot buy?. Why can’t I buy this album? Only a comma appears where the BUY button should be

Perfect. One of the best game soundtracks I've come across so far. Only one gripe why isn't the ending theme here!?

Isn’t letting me buy. Phenomenal album but there is a glitch >:(

An excellent album one that no Final Fantasy VII fan should be without. Takeharu Ishimoto has done an excellent job with this album. For the most part, the quality of the songs is good, but the combat and battle themes (with the exception of Vengeance on the World) are very weak. Many of the songs are repetions of the SOLDIER theme. Personally I would buy the game and just enjoy them along with the plot and voice acting but this is a good substitute. If you love J-pop (like I do) I would try to buy an import version online seeing as this does not include "Why?" by Ayaka a powerful vocal piece. Definite Downloads: "Vengeance on the World, Living Legacy, A Flower Blooming in the Slums, The Price of Freedom."

A Hot-Cold Experience.... This album truly delivers the best variety of Final Fantasy VII music to date. With that being said, I'd like to point out some of the irregularities found in the soundtrack. If you're like me you won't mind a nice classical song all of a sudden break out into hard-core rock... However, for those who appreciate one genre over the other you'll probably be skipping every other track. Another thing that may be viewed as a "deal breaker" for most of the listeners is the dreaded Crisis Core theme song. Most of the songs are just variants of the main theme song... it can get repetitive at times but it still doesn't take away from the over quality of the sound. To summarize, if you enjoy Final Fantasy VII or just like their music you won't want to skip this album, if you feel indifferent toward the music and have an "It's okay..." mind set, steer clear this time around.

Love this game to pieces!❤️. When Angeal dies part of my soul dies. When Zack dies I’m dead. When One winged angel comes on I’m excited to fight Sephiroth. This game made me have so many feels.

love it. i love this game and i love the rockand metal in it i love ff 7

This is an Incomplete Album!. Where's track 22 off of the second disc, huh? It's supposed to be "Why" by Ayaka (the non-CCFFVII full Mix), which is the song that plays during the last part of the ending CG FMV of the game where Cloud screams and his scream is cut off by this song. They could have at least listed it as an "Incomplete Album." Trying to pull another fast one on us, eh, Apple? Sheesh.

"Why" isn't the vocals for Ayaka on Itunes?. Final Fantasy is one of the best creations of all time, there is no complain. The songs are perfect for each game. Crisis Core's famed "Why" by Ayaka isn't on Itunes though. To spare all the cliches and constant complaints as to where, when, and if the song is ever going to reach Itunes, I would like to say... I hope it does. Final Fantasy fans out there know what I'm talking about! Lol Hang in there FF fans, Itunes might get the song on here. =]

Fanfare???. I like all the soundtracks and remixes I think they are great but like other FF soundtracks should the fanfare be here too???

Brings back memories. Now when one like myself buys music from games it helps if the the music can bring out the emotions you felt while you were playing the game. the songs on this album does such a thing. I have most of the songs on this and i remeber were and what was going on in the game and the emotions i felt. youll enjoy this if you buy it. it also is a great mix between classic and rock.

Glitch?. Why can’t I buy the full album

Pls fix. Won’t allow purchase of album

Zack Fair!!!!. For all who believed he was a hero, you need this.... In my eyes he's a hero!

Beautiful. the music of Final Fantasy never ceases to amaze me, especially the music from The Completion of Final Fantasy VII. Crisis Core is one of my favorite soundtracks for this series, to date, the music really reflects all the powerful moments of the game. If only iTunes would get Dirge of Cerberus, than the collection would be complete!

GREAT!!!. :( Why does this game have to have such a sad ending good album tho 5 stars all the way!(: )

Problem. This album is missing a track. Please fix this Itunes

Am I overlooking something?. I already have it, but where is the song Why by Ayaka that plays at the end of the game? O_o I mean, they have the Guitar version, but I guess the original's not available on iTunes, which is dissapointing because people just now getting this album are missing out on one song. Aside from this AMAZING song missing from the itunes album, I would totally consider buying this album- especially now that it's been released here online. If I had to choose one song from this album, it would have to be "The Price of Freedom"- amazing, truly powerful song.

LOVIN IT. I LOOOOOOOVE CRISIS CORE

Very nice. This is one of my favorite soundtracks I currently own. The only soundtrack I think is better (out of my collection) is Nier OST. Similar to Nier, it remixes one of its tracks about four or five times. Each almost better than the previouse. However, the album does have a few duds. There are a fair amount of tracks that range from 'ok' to 'mediocre'. This is still a good buy though because the rest of the tracks are very nice. It does a good job taking the original FF7 tracks and making them better in many ways. Over all I recomend this to any Square Enix fan or anyone interested in Soundtracks.

Cool. Great soundtrack! See no option to buy the entire album though, a fix would be appreciated.

Final Fantasy VII. I Love The Song Why

Beautiful!. I have been looking for this for a long time! I love Wandering Under the Moonlight, Night of Seclusion, and Vengeance on the World! This is the most EPIC soundtrack ever!!

OH MY GOD. I played this game and after I played it I couldnt stop playing and when I heard the song "The Price of Freedom" I couldnt stop crying....... R.I.P Zack Fair, Solider First Class

WOW!. This Album is great snd sois the game. In other words buy the album.

Awesome!. One of the best game soundtrack's I've heard. It resembles Kingdom Hearts in a way with the piano music and violin playing. It's beautiful.,

Breathtaker.. Im a huge fan of Final Fantasy Crisis Core, and I could tell that most of the tracks are included. Whenever I listen to the music, it reminds me of Zack, who is the best hero in my life so far!

Amazing soundtracks. I remember when I would just boot up this game to simply listen to the music. Definitely the best soundtracks out of the other final fantasy games, in my opinion. Definitely a lot nostalgia in these songs. So glad I can have them and listen to them whenever.

Amazing Work from Ishimoto. This is a soundtrack worth all the praise, however, not because of the retreading of familiar ground the score was given. I almost feel sorry for Ishimoto that Uematsu's music is even present in this game because it will forever overshadow the beautiful original work that was written for Crisis Core. Ishimoto essentially works with two major themes: The Terrible Truth and Resolution being the original statements, respectively. These themes both have a reserved and contemplative feel that exists well within the aural aesthetic established within the original game's soundtrack over a decade ago. Resolution (and its arrangement, Eyes the Color of the Sky), are my personal favorite; they have a mournful quality that nearly brings you to tears. From there you will hear several arrangements played by assorted performing forces, ranging from string quartets to guitars and drum set. Amongst every cue, Ishimoto weaves in and out of various chunks and streams of these two themes. Merge these powerful original statements together with the exquisite arrangements of each, and the score, as a whole, has a wonderful continuity to it, leaning itself very well to the game and Compilation. In my eyes, the rehashed segments are the weakest aspects of the score (not that they hurt the overall quality), and Takeharu Ishimoto's flexibility makes this piece shine greater than the rearrangments of Uematsu's works.

Breath Taking. Regardless of if you hate the Final Fantasy genre or your soul already belongs to Square and co., this is by far the best collection of their music. From great guitar ballets like Price of Freedom, to majestic orchestral First Mission, to the metal of Encounter; this is Square's musical power house at it's best. You can feel the emotion of craze and insanity in Vengeance on the World or the sweet innocence of A Flower Blooming in the Slums. A masterpiece if I have ever heard one.

A Little Late....But Still Great!!. I absolutely love Final Fantasy VII soundtracks, so as soon as the one for Crisis Core came out, I got it imported. I'm a little frustrated that it's right here on iTunes, and that I didn't have to spend $60 since it's much cheaper here. Oh, well. It's an amazing soundtrack nonetheless, and I'd reccomend it for any FFVII or JRPG fan. I especially love the One-Winged Angel version on here!!

Crisis Core. The best game of the FFVII Compilation offers a stunning soundtrack from the mind of Takeharu Ishimoto. The remixes that spawned from Uematsu's ground breaking composing offer an elegant nostalgia as well as some new twists. I highly recommend Burden to Bear, Living Legacy, and A Flower Blooming in the Slums for single downloads. All in all, a wonderful soundtrack and well worth your money.

Crisis Core. This CD is amazing. I really liked the "CRISIS CORE" songs on here. The different mixes of the originals were very good as well. My favorite songs on here were CRISIS CORE - Sucession (New Assignment, Blazing Through the Battlefield, The Scars That Remain, and True Motives), Last Order-Crisis Mix, Vegence on the World, the Summoned, and Pipes & Steel.

Glitch in download. Please fix glitch. I purchased several songs that won't download, despite it saying I own them.

Missing track, or just different name?. Where's SOLDIER battle?

Crisis Core. The best game .. ever .. and its great music.
